We were visiting friends in Harrogate and they recommended Harrogate Fisheries so we expected a decent meal, but what we got was the best fish and chips I’ve tasted! The fish was fresh and chunky and coated in a light crispy batter, and we polished off all the chips, which we don’t normally do. We also tried their excellent homemade Tartare sauce and fruity curry sauce. Service came with a smile - definitely will be coming back and totally recommend this place!
As a Yorkshire expat, I struggle to find half decent fish and chips. My visit to Harrogate Fisheries was right up there with my fondest memories of what great fish and chips should be. The service was great, the staff were friendly, the price was very competitive and the portion was generous. Hence 5 stars.

I’m a bit picky when it comes to fish and chips and Harrogate Fisheries is one of the best places I’ve had fish from in ages! The fish was cooked to order in a really light crispy batter! The chips were really fresh too! If I’m back in Harrogate soon, I hope they’ll be open!
