I’m a bit picky when it comes to fish and chips and Harrogate Fisheries is one of the best places I’ve had fish from in ages! The fish was cooked to order in a really light crispy batter! The chips were really fresh too! If I’m back in Harrogate soon, I hope they’ll be open!

We were visiting friends in Harrogate and they recommended Harrogate Fisheries so we expected a decent meal, but what we got was the best fish and chips I’ve tasted! The fish was fresh and chunky and coated in a light crispy batter, and we polished off all the chips, which we don’t normally do. We also tried their excellent homemade Tartare sauce and fruity curry sauce. Service came with a smile - definitely will be coming back and totally recommend this place!

Such a good fish and chip shop this was , but recent visit ordered a fish but was not cooked enough, not hot enough, what has happened to this shop ? it is not the same good product as always was.

As a Yorkshire expat, I struggle to find half decent fish and chips. My visit to Harrogate Fisheries was right up there with my fondest memories of what great fish and chips should be. The service was great, the staff were friendly, the price was very competitive and the portion was generous. Hence 5 stars.

As an ex-pat living in the south I crave good f&c's when I visit home. That is exactly what we got. The fish was so fresh and tasty, the chips were freshly cooked and real potato and the service was so friendly. Everything was piping hot . Can't wait to come home.

Without any prior research or knowledge of this establishment we stumbled across the fisheries. We were really impressed with the time taken to cook our order fully and the flavour given to everything including the homemade tartar sauce. Thank you.

I travel all over the UK for work and often have fish n chips. Last nights fish n chips from Harrogate Fisheries is definitely one of the best I've ever had! The fish was super fresh (I've been a fishmonger in the past), the batter was thin and crispy and the chips were freshly fried. I may have been lucky and caught them on a good night but I can guarantee you that I'll be back the next time I'm in Harrogate.

Ordered through deliveroo app last night. After 90 mins no sign or indication that food was on its way. We Called The shop who said we could not cancel delivery and just go and pick it up. After 2 hours we are notified it’s on its way but first the driver has to go to the other side of town so by the time he got to us the food was luke warm. Old & Cold chips on the bottom of the tray and a few warmer ones on top to con us. Fish was soggy and chewy as no doubt sat far too long waiting for the driver. Curry sauce was like dishwater. So after 15 or more years using this fish shop(formerly as Simpsons) it will be no more custom from us. Unwilling to sort their problem, horrible cold food and unhelpful in every way. The website states quality and service is at the heart of everything they do. Best get that reworded because it is not. AVOID. AVOID.

Great Service and Great Food! I pre-ordered for 22 people and picked it up. All ready when I arrived and the whole party loved the food. Friendly fryers and servers, if we are in the area again we will visit again!!! Well Done.
I clearly in a week last Monday, gluten free night , not that I am. Anyway the fish was lovely a golden crispy batter .the chips were nice and fluffy and tasty snd the curry sauce , not too spicy yet had a nice morrish taste. And the xcraps a tasty extra. Will I go back. I certainly will, a fish that won't be bettered! Fir its batter.

Staff were very friendly. Fish and chips, freshly fried. Enjoyable but portion was not over generous. Value for money was about right for Harrogate. Have had far better value for money elsewhere.
