Been calling at the Board for more years than I care to remember. Seen several owners come & go but our more recent visits have always been enjoyable. Very friendly and polite staff, good selection of drinks. We usually call between food times so cannot comment. Will definitely use when visiting the area.

Great location in Hawes. We enjoyed sitting with our drinks outside in the sunshine, in the centre of Hawes on Market street. The larger than lifesize knitted characters from Wallace and Gromit kept us company at the next table. They were an interesting photo opportunity and helped to make the Inn a unique attraction. I would recommend a visit others.

Had a walk around Hawes. Stopped for a beer which we all enjoyed (some more than others).

Charming and welcoming host. Great reasonably priced lunch in the company of Wallace and Gromit et al. Well worth the visitNearby activities: Wallace and Gromit country
Busy time of year in Hawes but we were promised first come first served in the bar (restaurant fully booked) and that’s what we got. A warm welcome from the bar staff. Food was a mixture of usual pub fare and a few specials. Good value but were slightly frustrated to discover the menu on the website was not up to date and prices were a bit more in reality. Food was good but the standout was the attention from the youngster who served our food. He was on the ball, super polite and nothing too much trouble.

This pub could be great with a nice open seating area on the main street. Unfortunately, this is ruined by the 2 rude members of bar staff who clearly don't want to be there. They risk losing a lot of business to the other bars located only a few yards away with much better atmospheres.

The staff here are another level of rude. Not just rude, actually nasty. 1 party of our group overheard them bitching that we had dogs, I'd asked them if dogs were allowed. Another was moaning about our pram, not really sure why they could t just politely ask us to put it somewhere else. They just scowled at us for the time we were there. We were going to have lunch for 13 people but the bar staffs attitude pushed us to the crown down the road. There was no need.

Called in for a drink and sat in the sun with Wallace and grommet as our company. Nice pub with pleasant staff and dog friendly place. The terrace on the main street with the large crochet figures of Wallace and grommet attracted us to visit. Having said that the Theakstons bitter was excellent
