Light and airy restaurant, plenty of room, food mostly good (avoid Yorkshire Pudding). Could do with more staff as waiting to be seated was slow and one evening it took almost an hour from arrival to first course being served. Rooms clean and airy with excellent bathrooms. Plenty of parking and great location twixt Town and River.

Spa day was basic and found the areas quite small without enough lounge space in the pool area. I also was not impressed that children were allowed in .. however the restaurant in the hotel was amazing and some of the best food I have ever eaten

needs soundproofing between the rooms. TV in room next to us is on wall other side of headboard of bed, or maybe ideally no TVs at all. not really nice at midnight listening to a late night film with volume up. staff are nice, price of room should include breakfast. rooms ok, could do with updating.

Never stayed at The Dower house before and would stay again. Receptionist very helpful when checked in,informed me of breakfast/restaurant/bar times etc. Room was comfortable and clean, bed too soft for my personal preference, room too warm even wih window open (felt like underfloor heating was on in bathroom) . Excellent breakfast choice. Well worth a visit

Stayed here for the weekend as was attending a wedding. Have to say, the staff were fantastic and the breakfast great too. Close to many amenities and great views. Lovely bar area and great spa and pool facilities. I thought the room we had was a little pokey but there are bigger rooms with king-size beds. If you're wanting a spacious area it might be better to book direct and request one. Car parking at the rear, plenty of spaces. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay again. Thanks to all the staff who were very helpful and professional.

We had our wedding at the Dower House in April and can't thank the team enough. Jonathan was great at communicating throughout the process and was a pleasure to deal with. The room was set up beautiful and the staff were polite and attentive without being intrusive. There was plenty of room for our guests to spread out and socalise. The food is fantastic and we can't wait to go back another meal there. Thanks again

Got a room in the carpark (2) which was tiny, poorly maintained and unclean. There were splash marks/stains on the ceiling and the skirting board, there was a big dint in, and paint missing from, the bedroom wall, and all around the lights in the bathroom was patched up with polyfiller. The lighting in the bathroom was insufficient to say there was no window, the sink was so small due to lack of space in the bathroom that it wasn’t a useable sink for anything other than hand
