A great winter wedding at Goldsborough Hall.

We recently celebrated our wedding at this venue, and it was truly exceptional from start to finish. The space itself is stunning, beautifully maintained, and created the perfect backdrop for our day. Every detail felt thoughtful, elegant, and exactly what we envisioned.

Our coordinator Alison was absolutely incredible—professional, organised, and genuinely invested in making sure everything ran smoothly. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and handled every part of the day with calm confidence. Her support made the entire experience on the day stress-free, and we felt completely taken care of on the day itself.

We couldn’t be happier with our choice. The venue, paired with such an attentive and talented coordinator, made our wedding unforgettable. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a seamless and beautiful celebration.

We finished off our week's vacation in Knaresborough by stopping off at Scott's Eatery.
We both ordered their full breakfast to include 3 rashers of bacon & 2 sausages 2 eggs, with the beans, mushrooms, fried bread & toast. The bacon & sausages were really tasty. All washed down with a lovely pot of tea & coffee. I have to say we both really enjoyed our stop off & recommend them if you want to start you day with a wonderful breakfast & great staff too.

Very busy little pub great atmosphere. Ordered takeaway pizzas and had a drink whilst waiting. Chardonnay excellent, pizzas equally as good. Only issue is trying to find parking nearby, but well worth walking to. Grab a seat when you can!!

Cannot praise enough. The staff were so lovely, attentive and couldn't do enough. Lovely little hidden gem. The food was lovely and fresh - we had cheese toastie (with lovely sides) and Nachos would definitely recommend. Can't wait to go back when we visit again.

Good points: dogs were very welcome, staff were friendly and did turn down the music for us as it was particularly loud ( although then because the kitchen door was open we could hear the music from there along with the music in the bar!)
Not so good: Very slow (and it wasn't anywhere near busy), Taking our food order was particularly slow. Then the wait for the actual food was tortuous. Food was overcooked - my pie crust was so hard I couldn't cut it with the knife. The laughably small amount of cabbage and mangetout was ridiculous! Gravy was very good though.

I’m visiting Knaresborough and didn’t feel like eating in. They kindly packed a delicious SO! Classic gluten and dairy free burger and chips for me to eat at my B&B. So tasty!! Great awareness of dietary restrictions with so much choice ?was so impressed returned for the gluten free grilled chicken gyros.

I've really tried to find such good bread (IMO) closer to home but weekly I drive from Harrogate to Knaresborough to shop at your bakery. The use of quality ingredients makes a real difference.
Your selection & displays are always eye-catching & tempting. Your staff are knowledgeable, friendly & efficient. I've repeatedly been very pleased with everything I've purchased.
PS A suggestion, if I may: would you consider selling all butter puff pastry? Frozen would be acceptable. It's impossible to find good quality & such a faff to make.

Mum and I ordered a Christmas Day curry and the food arrived quick and was extremely delicious! Definitely would recommend them if you like curry, and they have a variety of other menu options for if you don't. Didnt eat there but went on a saturday teatime for a few drinks. Found a comfortable seat & ended up staying longer than planned. Service was quick even though it was busy. Everyone was really friendly & a great atmosphere. Ladies toilets were small but very clean. Everyone was havibg a great time & dogs are allowed aswell.
