Such a great tea room. Very friendly staff and the food is always fantastic. Would recommend coming down for one of Scott's specials. Always something new a tasty on the menu. Mine and my dads favorite place to go for brunch.

This is a hidden gem of a place. The food is delicious and plentiful. The 2 sisters serving are attentive to detail, know exactly what they are doing to best serve their customers. The food is well priced. Brilliant. We will definitely go there again.

I have just found the home of my Breakfast sandwich, great portions, decent price, you won't be dissapointed, in the words of Arnie "I'll be back"

What can I say, how did anyone take pics of scrambled eggs or poached eggs, we were left in no doubt not to ask for such things. The place could be the inspiration for Royston Vasey. It's an absolute hoot, I will not return but would recommend it to anyone who wants an experience, very much a step back in time, no calculators here, it was great to witness the cogs whirring and the long hand maths to add up two breakfasts and two drinks, then another operative had to come and operate the special machine that slurps money from the magical phone device.Negatives expensive for the food.Sausages are at best 50% meat.Don't dare ask for scrambled or poached eggsCoffee is not the best.Breakfast does not include a drink.Carbon monoxide risk from the gas fire highPositivesEntertainment value off the scale.Good bacon.Good eggsTotally unique. How cafes used to be.Summary.You don't go for great food and value, but it's most certainly worth a visit to step back in time.

A proper cafe. No big chain faux service here. Just genuinely friendly staff and excellent food. Had a full English here and I think about it regularly. It might seem like a small thing but it was served on a warm plate, which kept the food at a lovely temperature down to the last bite.

What a drab, depressing place.Went in to have a coffee and cake.Realised as soon as i entered it was a mistake, drab decor reminicent of a care home dining room.A woman on the left with a hacking cough really cementing the feeling of a waiting room to the grave.Out of politeness ordered an espresso to go.Lady returns with a black americano. On pointing out the error she returns to the kitchen, half complaining to the lady in the back. To top it off , I try to pay by card, and she humms and haws.I reasonably point out the card machine is right behind her.To which she responds "I know where it is". To save trouble i offer cash, hand her 2.50 for the 2.35 coffee.Had to remind her that i needed change.... I like to support independent shops, but if your going to survive put some effort in.

Perfect breakfast and cuppa at a reasonable price. Everything cooked fresh and not skimped on. Very friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Very friendly, a lovely welcome. Traditional style tearoom which was a real gem. Think we were lucky to get a table, as Wednesday is mkt day in Knaresborough. Very tasty food and generous portions. Good value for money. Loved it. Thank you Michelle and team.

I have to give this little friendy old fashioned cafe full marks for the delicious meal we had recently. The extensive menu at very reasonable prices is difficult to choose from. Going to book the Sunday lunch very soon, there are two sittings as very popular. Please don't all rush there at once we want a table ☺️

What a find! Absolutely the best Sunday Roast we’ve ever had! We now go every week and travel 60 miles to get there. A family run tea rooms; very friendly and hospitable. Can’t fault the food; we went on a Saturday and we had the best home made steak pie EVER! Please try it. I promise, you will go back!! We love it!

Visited this lovely little cafe today. All I can say is the food was incredible. I had the special of the day which was chicken pie, mash and veg, it was just amazing. My partner has a full English, and dad and my brother had scampi and chips. We all left empty plates and with very full satisfied belly's. Very affordable and could not recommend this place enough.
