Great spot to unwind … highly recommend any time of the year. Summer the garden is fantastic to kick back and enjoy the rays. In winter or rain the fire should be on and there nothing like a pint and sitting in front of a fire. Maybe read a book too for that perfect

Simply one of the best pubs in the World. An exceptionally great pub. Do not be surprised if the locals say hello, they are a nosey, interested and friendly lot. Say hello back and they treat you like a local.

What a lovely evening meal for four we had on 28 December 23. This fantastic oldy world pub with log fires burning in all the cosey rooms . The food was brilliant, and the friendly staff (owners) made the evening. Thanks for making our night out so pleasurable. We’ll be back!! Cheers.

Lovely traditional local pub with real open fires in each quirky room. Decent pint and friendly staff. Ample parking at rear of pub

A pub from a largely bygone era. Four small bars with fireplaces was like having your own snug! A very warm welcome and amicable conversation with staff throughout our visit. We were made to feel very at home. A limited menu of home cooked meals was on offer at lunch but best to check with the pub before you go as food service days/hours are limited. Had a marvellous steak and kidney pudding! Samuel Smith bitter on the pump. Lovely visit snd would most certainly return!

Beautiful traditional cosy old pub. We stopped here for a cuppa on route to the Emmerdale tour. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. We were served our teas and coffees on a tray, teapots, biscuits, plenty of milk and sugar cubes. Cost £10 for 3 teas, 1 coffee in large cup and saucer. The menu for food had a small but good selection at reasonable prices too. The room we sat in was a quiet room, no mobiles or lap tops allowed ❤️ will definitely visit again when in the area.

Pretty little local pub. Straightforward, but friendly and done well. Lovely flowers and plenty of tables outside.

Cosy village pub - popular with locals. Very good value ales! Blanket ban on phones & computers. Happy not to see people on their mobiles (only have to pop outside to do that)....but to get a warning for showing a picture on my phone to someone is ridiculous!

Absolutely lovely chap behind the bar. They only do food for 2 hours at lunchtime if that's what you're after!
