Mr T writing this review This is the first time I have visited since new owners Good to see the restaurant has been decorated However the new owners need to sort out the following Service very poor we were a party of sixteen pre booked only 8 had starters took 1.5 hours to arrive Trying to get drinks had to ask and ask and ask Need to get draught lager and post mix soft drinks Pricing of food yes all food is going up but £1 for a popadom you need to look at your pricing structure Service needs a major overhaul with staff who know how a restaurant works The menu layout needs re designing and the quality of the printing needs improving I’m afraid you have a lot of work to do to warrant another visit

First time in Leyburn, lovely evening and lots of people eating. We tried to get into a pub but was very busy and couldn’t guarantee being able to take an order. This turned into very good news for us. We decided to try the Saffron just across the square from the pub. We were stunned by the great choice of fish dishes on offer. The best anywhere for a very long time……. We were touring the area but actually come from north Devon so eating fish isn’t unusual. We weren’t disappointed with any of the 4 dishes we had. Shame we weren’t staying longer but this will be remembered and noted for the next time we are in the area. We might even make it a reason to come back!

Excellent, had a take away reception was very clean,staff very friendly and food some of best I've had in a long time.freshly cooked well presented very flavoursome. I believe it's recently been taken over. I would certainly recommend this place.

We are a group of 6 on holiday near Leyburn and we ordered takeaway food. We’d read some mixed reviews so weren’t sure what to expect but were very pleasantly surprised. Our order was ready on time, the staff were very friendly and interested in us and every single dish was delicious. We had poppadoms and onion bhajis to start then a mix of curries including vegetarian, chicken and venison dishes plus some sides, rice and Nan breads. The quality of the food was very high and prices very reasonable. We would all highly recommend this restaurant.

I had a it down meal a week ago , so we decided to try the take away this evening. Absolutely awful. The chicken was hard and chewy the garlic rice was burnt the portion of rice barely enough for 1 chicken tikka balti just horrible, onion bajee mushy. Clearly only taking Cash !, but offer 10% discount. Sorry Guys you are new to the town and have seriously misjudged your target audience will never eat here again.

Watery dishes, Korma was ok, but our group didn't enjoy their curries very much. Also quite expensive compared to other restaurants we've been to. Not great service.

Bland food, the pilau rice was grey in colour. The cheese naan was cheeseless. I was asked rudely to wait until server checked I had paid, which i had of course.

Our meal here was delicious, there was a good choice on the menu and the Naan was exceptional. The wine list contained some good choices.

Ordered a take away, was ready bang on time, nice chap behind counter but the place is looking tired and needs updating. We had two starters mix kebab and onion bhaji. These were ok but lacked any real flavor and quite bland. Ordered Roti and chapatis all of which were reasonable. The currys mushroom/spinach chili. chicken passanda, chicken balti and chicken naga murgh. We all really enjoyed the curries, lack of chicken in passanda but all got good reviews. I really enjoyed the chicken naga murgh, one of the best curry's i've had and i've had a few.

We’ve ordered from here quite a few times and it used to be lovely. The takeaway we had a few weeks ago was disappointing but gave them the benefit of the doubt. After ordering tonight I’ll be taking my custom elsewhere. The curries were nowhere near as nice as usual, the naan's plain and crispy, even the chips were awful! It’s such a shame as the food used to be really tasty.
