A truly wonderful birthday lunch. We enjoyed a splendid meal from start to finish, with the warmest of welcomes and a menu that felt carefully crafted and full of thought. The fish was exceptionally fresh and beautifully cooked - light, flavourful, and absolutely delicious. Every bite reminded us just how good simple, high quality ingredients can be when treated with care. \n\nThank you for making my birthday feel so special and memorable.

As the rain had stopped we decided to have a night away at the Forresters. Was a sound decision.as the room was great , the atmosphere so friendly and the food very good. We were made very welcome by Warren and his son. Just looking forward to next time.

Came here twice on our trip to Yorkshire. Food was superb on both nights, all courses. Service was excellent and all service staff super friendly. Special shout out to Mandy who was fantastic. Her ginger snap really snapped and was 5* - watch out Bake Off - give this girl a pay rise! 5⭐️ all round

We've visited the Crown in Askrigg many times and it never fails us. The staff are lovely, helpful and friendly, the owners Louise and Jim will put themselves out to please you. It's got a lovely atmosphere and the locals are friendly too. Will be back again next year.

Wow, amazing food, lovely atmosphere, big roaring open fires and superb, friendly and attentive staff (especially Ryan). Parmos were hanging off the plates. We had what was left boxed up to take home. What a treat.

My wife and I called in for a drink and something to eat. It was our first visit but not our last, we both had a “small” Parma with added mushrooms. The best Parma we have ever had and the service was excellent. Great food and beer and very reasonable prices, highly recommended

Food was next level, proper flavour, fresh, and cooked spot on. Every dish hit.

Big shoutout to Naz as well, service was sick. Proper attentive, friendly.

Definitely one of the best spots I’ve been to in leybrurn, I’ll 100% be back.

Stayed a week on the caravan site behind The Pheasant Inn. The site is well maintained. The electric, if available, is 6amp so enough to keep the lights on and the fridge cold. The pub itself is traditional and the prices are very low.
It is a pleasant walk into Leyburn past a brewery, distillery, and the preserved railway station.
Just remember that they don't take cards. Cash is king here.

Sublime food, well worth every penny (even though not really that expensive considering), and charming service. We had the cod and bream duo and the steak. 10/10. I'd go all the way back just to eat there again. :)
