Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. Well located on the main road into Brompton on Swale with ample parking at the rear of the pub.Staff were very friendly and the food was beautiful and very reasonably priced at roughly £16 per adult for two courses. My wife particularly noted free feminine hygiene products in the toilets which was a lovely little touch.Vegetarian options: Reasonable amount of vegetarian options. Seemed proportionate to the size of the pub and the menu.Dietary restrictions: We were asked about allergies before we ordered.Parking: Free parking in an enclosed car park at the rear of the pub.

Firstly- it's under new ownership so disregard the old reviews prior to Nov 2023!Me & the hubby had a lovely couple of pints and some lunch. Huge tasty all day breakfast and a lovely panini with home cooked chips. All reasonably priced in a warm cosy village pub that makes everyone feel welcome.

Very bright and cosy, very friendly staff. I had the scampi and chips. Lovely scampi just perfect. Will definitely be coming back for more. Thank

Had a meal and a pint at the Crown for the first time under new ownership. I had chicken tikka masala from the specials board along with a pint of Madri. The food was delicious and the Madri complimented it well. Donna was very friendly and helpful throughout.

Friendly traditional pub with great staff. Not tried the food yet but the menu looks good, with traditional home cooked favourites. Grest value too. Definitely worth popping in.

At last, there is a real pub left in the UK.It's not the Ritz but it's clean, the staff are perfect, friendly village pub staff and the food is - well, it's pub grub, but pub grub as it should be. No gastro drivel just honest, tasty, filling and at a price which wouldn't break the bank of anyone. We'll be back.

Just moved to Brompton and called in after reading reviews on line. It's a local pub and was pleasantly surprised . Not had food yet but will try. We found it very friendly.
Much loved pub! Visited twice with my uncle and loved both times. Great value for money and the locals are welcoming. Will visit again! They don’t accept cards so make sure to take cash. Well behaved dogs are welcomed and loved!

Cash only which is a hindrance. Food cheap, however, not home made. Sunday lunch is not the best. Tasted like tinned/frozen veg and turkey, though I have had worse. Drinks are nice, atmosphere appears ok. Many of the staff are really nice.BE WARNED tho... there is a notice in the carpark stating.. park at your own risk!!!! And it is a risk After!!!! After having lunch and returning home I noticed my car and trailer had been damaged, clearly by another vehicle. I rang the pub as I noticed CCTV outside and asked if they worked, to be told by a man with ATTITUDE " of course my CCTV works!!", I then explained my car had been damaged to rudely be told... "I don't have cameras out the back and there is a big notice stating park at your own risk". No apologies just rudeness. Rude little man with attitude!!.... I highly recommend you stay away if driving beacause there isn't any where else to park other than their car park or alternatively walk on foot.. Myself and family will never step foot in that pub again after the rudeness I received over the phone.OK, they owner has replied back and I am unable to directly comment on their post, so I will edit this.I am not a liar!!. The food did not taste fresh and that is mine and the party members opinions!!! As for the man that answered the phone call regarding my damaged car, I suggest you go n have a word with him. He clearly stated the CCTV worked, then stated he didn't have it round the back and abruptly stated you park at your own risk. If it wasn't a man, then some lady clearly needs throats lozenges!!!!End of drama!! I won't be coming back here and I certainly won't be recommending....Parking: DO NOT PARK HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR CAR BUMPED AND GET NO HELP

Good old fashioned pub with nice home cooked food at good prices. Don't expect it to be posh it's better for the old school pub vibe.

Good pint of Tetleys. Sadly no real ales. Friendly, quirky pub with friendly locals

I'm sure the landlord could do more.
