Visited Leyburn for a long weekend and booked for meal on Saturday. Greeted by friendly host and home made chicken and mushroom pie was delicious. Food prepared and cooked by lady of the house using local produce, Excellent and sensible pricing.

Absolutely amazing pub!! We were visiting Spennithorne for a weekend and stumbled across this pub. The owners couldn't have been more helpful, lovely, and friendly! The food and drink were delicious! So much so, we went there 2 nights running! If we're ever in the area again we'll be back. ?

It has character outside, it needs some tlc inside but the food was excellent, the landlord very friendly and knowledgeable. We (4 of us) ordered fish a chips and Scampi and chips, large portions well cooked and well presented. Oh! And the beer is Wensleydale brewery and I thoroughly recommend The Semer Water ale, ???

What a great pub, it's very down to earth a proper pub, the landlords a brilliant host a very friendly welcome that continues throughout your stay a friend in his home - which i suppose you are. Beers are served and kept well taste clean and fresh and the food is just lovely simple pub food but very well made, simple quality and plentiful. The pub is an old fashioned independent it's perfect as it is.Just a lovely find i thoroughly recommend.

We turned up here just after lunch service for food had finished. We were starving. We had drinks and a packet of crisps in the beer garden. It was so lovely an afternoon we stayed for another couple of drinks and then the chef came back from her break and offered to make us a meal. Fantastic service. We both had the Wagyu steak, it was beautifully cooked and I would go back for more. We also had bottle of wine, couldn't fault the quality. Staff were lovely and we were made to feel very welcome, including our dog. Thanks for a lovely afternoon

What a great pub, such a friendly welcome for us and the dogs. We were only going to stay for a drink but after looking at the menu decided to stay for dinner (and pudding) really tasty and good value all round. Very good choice of local beers too. Highly recommend a visit.

We really enjoyed our beer and meals at the old horn inn. Loads of atmosphere and a lovely old pub well worth seeking out. If you get a seat near the wonderful old bar which is a welcome throwback. We were based in Leyburn - this pub beats the atmosphere and beers in the main square of Leyburn. The staff were very friendly, happy to dispense advice about the local area. Food was good my wife really enjoyed the fish and chips while I had the steak and ale pie which had plenty of meat chunks in it. I am sure if we came back to the area we would visit again.

What a gem. Fabulous small Yorkshire old pub. Great food and even better welcome by landlord and Lexi the dog - not to mention the real ales. Will be back.

Charming old Yorkshire pub with friendly owners & locals. Warm welcome, lovely open fire, cask ales & dog friendly. Although we didn't eat, the food looked good, we will definitely return to sample....& it is only a 25min walk from the Lower Wensleydale CAMC site, which is similar to walking into Leyburn.
Lovely charming pub, made very welcome by the Landlord & really good food, would happily go back for more. Also perfect for walking between villages in the area

Lovely old fashioned pub with great landlords. If you are interested you can even be told a little bit of the history of the pub, which has been known as a pub from as far back as 1810. Great food. I'm vegetarian and took a chance on the vegetarian burger which was excellent. My husband had a homemade pie. He said it was excellent. This pub has everything we look for in a great pub. together with a warm friendly welcome.

This pub was about 1.5 miles from where we were staying on our Campervan at Harmby. We booked in for the Friday night and the Fish & Chips special was great. Followed by cheesecakes. We came back on Sunday lunch and had the vegetarian lasagne with roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings and veg followed by home made rhubarb crumble. An excellent atmosphere and very friendly landlord where dogs were also very welcome. Thanks to Paul for an excellent couple of meals.
