We loved it here! We booked on New Year's Day. The ladies behind the bar, cooking & serving our food were so welcoming & friendly. The bar looked cosy & rustic but unfortunately was full. We had a table in the restaurant with great views. The food was plentiful and tasty. Great value for money. We'll definitely return and grab a table in the bar!

Moved out the dales few years ago and didn't know how much I missed it till walking through these doors. Proper country pub, great food, great staff and great

What a super pub. We went for lunch with a friend and we’re very impressed with the menu choices. I had the veal chop, chips and mushroom sauce and my wife had leg of lamb. Our friend had the fish and we were all super impressed. I would not have enjoyed the fish but my chop was gorgeous. My wife’s lamb just dropped off the bone so very good choice of venue and we look forwards to returning.

Absolutely fantastic. Service first rate. Food exceptional. This pub is struggling to get customers but is an absolute gem. I have saved a review until we revisited and can say without a doubt it is one of of our all time favourites. Lamb rump with dauphinois potatoes and roasted veg; the food was absolutely first rate, simply stunning. Pub doesn’t have long hours only opens for meal times but is thoroughly recommended. We will be back. The prices were a few pounds more per course than a usual pub meal but on a completely next level. Gorgeous. See you all in a few weeks when we get back.

My wife and I have visited the Dales numerous times and would never stay anywhere else. Ideally located in the little hamlet of Finghall, just outside Leyburn, and with lovely separate accommodation at the back of the pub, it is an ideal holiday venue. The meals are superb, the owners so obliging, and the views magnificent. A first-class venue. highly recommended.Rooms: Perfect.Nearby activities: Many places to explore, both historic and modern.Safety: Not an issueWalkability: Unless you are a dedicated hiker, a car is a necessity to view other parts of the Dales as it is a little isolated, but, that is all part of its charm.Food & drinks: It has a lovely bar with superb food in the dining area and the staff are so obliging.Noteworthy details: Friendly staff, lovely owners, a wonderful short- or long-stay place to stay

It was a brilliant place to visit. There is a wonderful view from the outside space and the restaurant area. The servers are friendly and attentive. There is a good menu that will please most patrons. The meals we had were excellent. The pub and restaurant are both wheelchair accessible. There is a carpark outside with an overflow at the side that has a steep incline. It's very rare for me to award 5 stars, so that demonstrates how impressed I was.

Wow, what an absolutely lovely hidden little gem, we are so glad we found you. We are on holiday nearby and decided to go out for a meal and we are so glad we did, the service and food was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble and both the ladies working were very friendly and polite. The food was amazing, so tasty and we really could not fault anything at all. Such a lovely place.

We were staying nearby and booked a table for 6. This place is pretty remote but well worth seeking out. We had the best meal for a long time. Every single person thought the food was excellent. The service was spot on.I had the salmon. A huge chunk of salmon on a bed of veg with new potatoes and a creamy sauce. It was perfectly cooked and the sauce was gorgeous. Not quite enough potatoes but luckily we ordered extra veg. Two vegetarians had plenty of choice. We all had pudding after we saw some being served at the next table. Medium priced.

An authentic example of a "local".. stopped by for a few pints and dinner. Great views from the garden deck and lovely homely vibe inside and helpful staff.

The Queen's Head has to be the best B&B we've ever stayed in. A lovely welcome, very friendly staff, amazing food and a spotlessly clean and spacious room all add up to a perfect stay. Just a few miles outside of Leyburn, it's an ideal location to easily access the many tourist attractions and beautiful scenery around. The rooms each have their own exterior entrance too come and go as you please without having to go through the pub each time. Lovely views over the fields behind, and access to the terrace for a pleasant sit in the sun. Our room was tastefully decorated with full size modern bathroom. Comfy bed and a sofa for relaxing. Restaurant food is probably the best quality we've eaten in a very long time. The chef and staff all have a good understanding of allergies and were geared up to cater very well for gluten free meals. The pub itself is warm and inviting. We honestly could not recommend The Queen's Head enough, either for a stay or for a meal.Nearby activities: Not far from Leyburn, Middleham, and the amazing Forbidden Corner.
