This place has to be one of the best Sunday dinners,Couldn't fault it the lamb was properly cooked so was all the vegetables, Yorkshire pudding was great nice and light, and the gravy was proper gravy,I would recommend if you are around Malton between 11am and 2pm on a sunday try here for a Sunday dinner,Or you can have a really good breakfast they come in small, full English or largeWell prices for all the foodStaff /owners are very nice with fast and attentive service.

This is a little gem of a find...plus it is very dog friendly! The food was fab but the cakes were out of this world...so much so I had a rather large takeaway ?. The staff were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would highly recommend a visit or two!!

Well what can I say, possibly the worst breakfast I’ve ever eaton..! Asked for a Large breakfast as I was absolutely starving and what came out was ..! Well what can I say pity-full. Also possibly the worst tasting breakfast I’ve not eaton as I just couldn’t ..! Won’t be going back there again ..!

Medium full English not too bad value at 8.50 as it included the decent coffee; having to choose between beans and tinned tomato seemed a bit mean, and bizarrely the tomato was served in a cup. Good, clean ingredients and with toast & fried bread - not common these days. A warmer welcome would have been nice.

We arrived and on first thoughts what a lovely little old cafe ,we were the only ones in there about 1pm so found a table easily , the chair was very old the padding had completely gone but didn’t really bother me , no sooner had we sat down a young girl appeared asking what we would like so we picked very quickly , my daughter picked a small breakfast I picked a blt with chips and two teas , while waiting I had a look around massive cobwebs above own heads ,a broken piece on the fire place ( metal piece hanging off ) anyway the food arrived the breakfast looked nice my chips home cooked really lovely , I took one look at my sandwich green mould on the top of it so I called the girl who just smiled and took it away, I heard her shout someone’s name and said this bun is mouldy , she soon came back with another one which I did eat and it was nice but the whole time worrying if anything else was out of date , anyway we paid and left with no sorry from the cook I’m assuming the owner and a simple good bye from the waitress, we won’t be going again which is a shame because on first thoughts thought it maybe our new go to cafe a specially when I saw they did Sunday lunch , if it was my place I would have been out and apologised and maybe knocked some thing of the bill

Came in for an English Breakfast and left HAPPY! The ambiance of the place is very cozy, almost like being in someone's house. Service was fast and friendly, and it was nice to dine with what looked like a few regular customers. The breakfast was on-point, and definitely didn't leave me hungry afterward. After breakfast, I grabbed a tasty pastry from the front counter and was fully-fueled for the rest of my day ... till dinner, at least. :-)Great place, and I look forward to eating here again next time I visit Malton!

We returned again five months later , its cheap cheerful and basic half the price of other coffee shops, tea in man size mugs and lovely breakfast, the waitress even remembered us ....if you want a sit down away from town center no frills then try it ,
