We spent two nights in the hotel as part of a tour of this part of the country, and we wished we could have stayed longer. The buildings and grounds are beautiful; the food was excellent; and the spa was a real treat. Our room was in one of the converted stable blocks and ws very well-appointed, with a great view back to the main tower. And have to mention the falconry demonstration -- a real highlight of our stay.

The spa experience was very good the staff around the pool and beauticians were excellent. My only criticism would be the evening meal in the Terrace Restaurant was very disappointing plus we had an approx 40 minute wait between starter and main, which confounded us somewhat as the snack we had in the Pool area was excellent and I would presume it came from the same kitchen

The Swinton estate is simply breathtaking. The atmosphere was everything we hoped for, and simply nothing was lacking. From our rooms over the castle, lands, offered activies, to dinner, everything was wonderful. Don't miss the Owl experience!

We had an absolutely lovely stay. The surroundings are beautiful with lovely woodland walks, deer, walled gardens, a lake and we even managed to get into and out of the hammock in the woods! The service was superb, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The meal in the Terrace restaurant was delicious and again the staff were very friendly. We particularly enjoyed the deer walk, it was fascintating to find out more about the deer and the estate.

We came as part of my wife’s birthday celebrations and loved it. The estate and hall are gorgeous with lots of options for how to spend your time there. The staff were all amazing, friendly and helpful. My wife assures me the spa is one of the best she’s visited (and that’s a lot of spas). Overall I felt whilst quite an opulent treat for us it was money very well spent, we loved it.

We held our wedding at Swinton this weekend. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were the only people that had ever held a wedding there. We were made to feel like royalty from start to finish. With exceptional food and service in general, but the wedding coordination and the attention to detail was incomparable. We are already considering an anniversary reunion next year!!

A lovely spa visit to the spa. Staff were friendly and therapists we had were very experienced. Only sticking point was that the food provided as park of a day package was a very small amount. Facilities very clean and well maintained.

An Estate anyone with English relatives or an English heritage should visit. If I was American Swindon Estate and Spa would be top of my list for places to visit. The Spa is really excellent though if you are stopping at the Hotel be aware you cannot use the Spa before 3pm without incurring a £25 per person charge, this happened to us !. Should really make clients fully aware of this little ‘nip’ prior to booking. We had afternoon tea in a drawing room with views of deer running around the parkland which was nice. Had dinner in the Terrace restaurant, the chef brigade were excellent though a bit noisey, the food top flight as was the range of wines and spirits. Staff overall were very friendly and approachable but they really need to get to grips with their computer system, we had a pre-paid afternoon tea but they said not, we ended up paying another £75.00 so in total we paid another £125.00 more for our stay than expected. Nether the less this is a place to visit at least once in your life but ensure you have a full understanding of what you have paid for prior to your visit !.

We have visited Swinton Estate many times now and will not hesitate to return again. The spa is fantastic and the hotel itself has a lovely atmosphere. Visitors of all ages are welcomed equally. Having stayed in many of the different rooms previously we now choose 'High Swinton' cottage which is perfectly located for the spa and for getting up to The Bivouac, or for hiring bikes, walking etc. I am coeliac and my restricted diet has never posed any problem at Swinton. We look forward to our next visit.

The hotel is excellent and the staff are very friendly. It is a beautiful looking stately home set in amazing grounds, with deer walking around. Dinner and breakfast were very good quality. We would definitely recommend
