5 Stars is the maximum that i can give and that's not enough in this case i would give much more. We stayed her and a Family with two rooms booked and stayed for one night. Our rooms were at the back of the Hotel in what i believe is a converted stable kind of thing. The rooms are clean and warm and very welcoming we had rooms 18 and 21. The rooms are well presented and comfortable. We Used the bar and restaurant while we stayed and found these to be very good the service was very good, the food was lovely and the choice of beers also good. We had breakfast the next morning and this was very good the staff are very helpful and friendly, We had our little boy with us and they could not do enough for him. I could go on and on with nothing but positive things to say out the kings head. its with out doubt that we would return here. Thank you for a very relaxing time.

Room was fine. Clean, well maintained and full of character. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic. Great quality and loads of it. After the full breakfast I didn't need to eat until the evening.

We popped in here for a coffee and were greeted with the fire on, a warm welcome and our dog was greeted with an even warmer one!! Coffee was good and the service was great. Thanks Gaye and Chris for the snacks for the dog! Will be returning.

Only went in for a meal at lunch time but the atmosphere was good. Menu is very good for both vegetarians and people who have a gluten intolerance. The staff are great and will have a bit of fun with you, especially a young lady by the name of Gay, she's the best. It's very dog friendly too with sausages thrown in. It's very well worth a visit. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area. Just a great place to visit. !!!!!!!!!!.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Put for a meal with friend and told our meal wasn't in stock. This was not a problem we ordered another alternative. To be told we had been refunded and then had to repay. I asked if we could not just pay the 2 pound difference. Was told it wasn't an option by the rude lady who said something along the lines of it will be in your account by the end of the day . knowing this was not the case as world pay terminal is up to 7 days.Left with no other option that to repay due to eating with friends.I was told if it didn't go in it would go to the head office. This apparently was due to stock take. The alternative meal came out as everyone had finished eating with no apology for such poor customer service.Extremely rude and not customer focused.
