I'm not sure I need to write a review. Look at the pictures and judge for yourself. This was Afternoon Tea at Swinton Park. It was such a shame as it followed a lovely relaxing time in the spa. I emailed them to and got a response saying it wasn't good enough. They requested a time to call me, I agreed and they never called. Not only was the experience disappointing but the way they handled it was too.

Excellent experience. Really good service. Well thought out and well executed food and wine choices on the tasting menu. Impressive dining

God we just had dinner here and are staying on the estate! The food was fantastic! Beautiful setting! Just absolutely mega! Mega! Go now and support a massive local employer! Wow!

Goodness me, it has taken a few days for me to think how to praise Samuel’s Restaurant sufficiently. Perhaps the fact that we are still reminiscing about it goes towards extolling the brilliance of this establishment. Ruth Hansom and her team here at Swinton Hall produce the most incredible Dining experience. Produce of the highest quality, much from the Swinton Estate, is used in creating the most imaginative Menu ever. Perfection just about sums it up!!

Sad to say disappointing! We had planned on the tasting menu which is no longer! Apparently stopped today (27/9). Also the savoury porridge as a side dish is no longer; another dish we wanted to experience! Also ceased today! Seemingly Ruth Hansom as the chef is leaving. Food was flavoursome, minimalist portions, expensive. Enjoyable dishes all the same. Just annoying that expectations were not fulfilled!

This was our first visit to Swinton Park Estate and it wont be the last. We booked lunch for our Wedding Anniversary. The staff were so attentative and friendly on our arrival at the hotel.

Excellent food, service and ambience. We had the taster menu which was so original but looked and tasted beautiful. Highly recommended

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience with the tasting menu this evening. Food was outstanding - chef is clearly talented Service was exceptional (thank you) Storytelling is prevalent here and makes for a nice experience when enjoying the tasting menu. Well worth a shot!

Following a delightful walk around the gardens we were seated at a table in the window of the restaurant. The tasting menu was absolutely delicious, interesting and well presented. The staff were attentive and caring, lovely Happiness was charming. The ambiance in the restaurant was just perfect with the evening sun pouring through the large windows. I am visiting for afternoon tea on July 12th and hope the standard will be as good, as the recent reviews are disappointing.

Fantastic Tasting Menu by resident chef Ruth Hamson. Every mouthful was delicious with incredible attention to detail and served by excellent staff. Can’t wait to return

Visited today for afternoon tea. A very understated experience. The service was extremely poor. Had to ask twice for some hot tea and other things. 1 small pot of jam for 4 small scones.. that didn't go far.. We ate our cakes which were lovely. But the place wasn't busy so no excuse for not topping up our tea. staff made no eye contact and had to go and seek out front desk person and ask a second time for a top up..... Waited about 30mins for the tea....we decided we didn't want to wait any longer... Management didn't give a jot...we paid the bill and came home. Wouldn't recommend and certainly won't be visiting again

Fantastic new head chef offering a brilliant seasonal tasting menu...We had a beautiful evening in great surroundings. The hotel is gradually being refurbished and when finished will match the quality of the food. Our only feedback for our tasting menu was our main course of lamb. We felt it either needed to be bigger or presented on a smaller plate. Unfortunately it was a little lost in a sea of porcelain!Overall a lovely evening and we hope the new head chef brings success to the hotel.

We always have a Sunday lunch here when we are in Yorkshire, wonderful old building with magnificent grounds. With the accomplish cooking and friendly service it is a pleasure to spend some time in this establishment. After missing a few visits because of the pandemic lock downs, it was good to see some old faces again.
