We visited for mother's day lunch. Initially the service was excellent however, it didn't quite make 5 stars as they missed a courtesy check and my mum's meal was inedible and husband's meal uncooked in places. 2 out of 4 meals were ok although didn't stay warm and I was a little disappointed with the vegetable selection.It's the first time I have eaten here however, my family have had other experiences which have been mixed.I understand that the rooms are nice but compact.

Beer was fine after a walk, but on a Saturday afternoon, I'd have expected them to be a bit more prepared for people wanting lunch. We were informed that there'd be a 30 minute or more delay for food once our orders were placed, so instead I visited the local butcher / bakers and made some wild boar sausage sandwiches at home instead ?

This has got to be one of my favourite places to dine and stay. I have been twice now and cannot rate it enough. Each and every one of the team is very friendly, welcoming and cannot do enough for you.I have stayed in both the penthouse suit and the classic room and both were lovely.The food is delicious and always comes out very quickly. Every time I have left with a fully belly!Sue should be very proud of what she has created with this business.

A very good venue that was decorated well for Xmas and had a couple of fires on. Friendly service and a wide selection of Theakstons drinks on. The chips were great as were the large battered onion rings.The vegetarian mushroom burger was good, but not great. Rather difficult to eat as the components kept falling out, or came out of the sides with each mouthful.Would definitely recommend though.

Wonderful overnight stay, what a find. Very comfortable, well appointed rooms. Had both lunch and supper, more extensive and interesting menu for lunch but enjoyed both.Walkability: Great location for walking round Masham which is a really lovely market town with many interesting shops and craft workshops.

This is such a Friendly Hotel, our experience has been 5 star all through our visit.We had 2 rooms booked and one of our party had a Birthday on the morning of our departure, the staff went above and beyond to make it a memorable morning.I can Highly Recommend a stay at the White Bear Hotel, the rooms, restaurant, bar and the incredible staff make this our favourite place to visit, you won't be disappointed.Thanks to all the Team.
