“Lovely food and fab service. Even though the weather was dull and slightly damp, I can't give anything less than 5 stars. This was the 3rd visit by our family and friends. We were welcomed by staff and even other customers. Such a lovely lunch experience even outside with 2 active dogs. It's in a great setting too, near the fishing lake behind a quiet caravan site. Thanks so much.Parking: Only a small parking area, but certainly adequate for the facility.”

“Scrumptious Homemade Foods, local produce. We often stop off at Roots for lunch, afternoon coffees and treats and to pop into the butcher for his fantastic produce.Today I had my first ever “Parmo”, a North East speciality I’ve always ignored, knowing that Roots chicken is of the highest quality I decided to try one here. OH MY WORD! IT WAS SO TASTY, THE JUICIEST CHICKEN SMOTHERED IN BECHAMEL AND THREE TYPES OF SCRUMPTIOUS CHEESE. I ordered the small portion and it was substantial, Fabulous treat, I’ll be back for more. The steak baguette was good too, and as always the salads and chips were delicious. Marmalade Bread and butter pudding was SUPERB, and enormous. Love this place, the service is great, friendly and helpful, it’s always spotless and it’s accessible too, keep up the good work everyone . See you soon for more delicious grub.”

“Top class service on my moat recent visit to Betty's. The best part about the Northallerton branch is the fact you don't spend half the afternoon in a queue. I had a simple cream tea as I was in a rush. The scones are not visually stunning, but the flavour certainly is. And the house cafetierre was excellent. Not the cheapest cafe, but well worth the premium.”

“I only found out about Sam Turners in Northallerton by accident, I'd had a dreadful experience at the Stokesley outlet, but a colleague convinced me not to give up on the chain. I'm now rather pleased that I did. It's a great place with an astonishing range of things for sale. I've only been 3 times, leaving circa £2k in their coffers but always with a smile on my face. The only downside for me is that it's a 60mile round trip.”
