We had a lovely Mother's Day Carvery followed by awesome naughty puddings. Our Grandsons age 2 and 5 where made to feel as welcome as we where nothing was to much trouble. We will be going back again.

Amazing carvery lunch for £8!!!!!! Desserts were £2.50 - £3.00. Excellent food, lovely friendly staff and the prices were knockout. Will definitely be going back again.

Amazing Sunday lunch best in Northallerton and only £8.00Best freshly prepared and perfectly cooked vegetables and beautiful meats available in the carvery .Would not go anywhere else now .Meals served Sunday 12.00 till 2pm .tempted not to tell anyone but that would be selfish ....

Sunday carvery definitely value for money we both had beef pork and turkey with stuffing roast and mashed potatoes cauliflower carrots sprouts turnip and peas with Yorkshire pudding and gravy for just £7 very tasty and the landlord and barmaid very friendly. We will definitely have a return visit.

The Sunday dinner carvery, oh yeah, without hesitation one of my all time top ten Sunday dinners for this life. Everything was perfect. Pork & chicken both cooked beautifully, the veggies not too firm but not too soft, the gravy was just the right balance to work with either meat too & being a carvery you could get enough to be satisfied without over indulgence & waste. Owner was great & explained the origin of the pubs name to me at the bar, very interesting, a cool guy too. Barmaid was mint too. friendly place, great food & located out in the beautiful northern countryside I love so dearly. Highest recommendation folks!
