Booked a table for a Sunday lunch. Busy car park but found a Spot. Busy pub and restaurant.we were greeted with enthusiasm and shown to our table immediately. Food and drink were excellent and a reasonable portion for all 3 courses. Would definitely recommend.

What an absolute treasure this Pub is. Today 22/12/2023, we had been on the Santa Express experience nearby. Our journey lasted until 1.30pm. Our party 4 adults,2 children were hungry. We hadn’t booked anywhere. I had checked out pubs/restaurants in the area and had seen this one. Took a chance to just see if they could accommodate us. In we went in our Christmas pyjamas. No problems they accommodated us. The menu is varied and reasonably priced. Two of our party were vegetarian and were impressed with the choice for a change. We had the creamy goats Cheese chargrilled red pepper/char grilled Cajun/minute steak and blue cheese ciabattas. Also the sweet potato and black bean burger. Portion of chips and onion . Everything was spot on, very tasty. No complaints. All served with a smile by truly attentive staff. After our meal, we were sat just chatting when one of the lady chefs came out and asked us if we wanted to try the rocky road cake she had just made. It would be rude not to. This wasn’t a charged dessert, it was just a lovely little gesture. It is in a quiet village with a lovely view over fields. Typical country style pub, good selection of ales/beers and spirits. It does not open all day so please check opening hours. Lovely place if your in the area give it a go

Outstanding food. Outstanding service. The Sunday lunch was unbelievable. The turkey was so juicy, the gravy was tasty. Stuffing was beautiful. I had the homemade brownie for dessert which tasted homemade. It was stunning. Absolutely stunning. Asked our waitress for a couple of extra pigs in blankets and she got this for us straight away, no questions asked. The service was second to none. One of the best Sunday lunches I've had. The manager came over to make sure we were okay also, which was a nice touch. My only small tiny critique was my pint of Guinness wasn't great but the red wine more than made up for it. Will definetely be back when we're back in the area.
