I'm from the US and this coffee house is more akin to something you would find over there. Not too much in the way of food, but great atmosphere, WiFi available, and amazing coffee. It's a great place to stop for a chat with a friend, read a book, or get some light work done.

Brilliant little coffee house, great atmosphere. Food choice is snack only but good quality nonetheless.

The coffee was great. I am disappointed by the food options. Sandwiches are prepackaged ultra processed ones, and a slice of cake I had was just ok.

Love this place! Coffee here is the best in Northallerton from my pov. Dogs welcome - a bonus for me! Outside seating is great - gets full quickly, and on a lovely day, you can’t blame people for lingering in the sun. Plenty of space inside too. Only downside is that the tables don’t always get wiped down, leaving crumbs and sticky rings, and the floor can get crumby too. A slight increase in housekeeping would easily remedy this. Still giving it five stars .. try it and see!

Called in for a coffee while passing. The place is popular with most of the outside seating taken, but there's quite a lot available inside. I had a flat white and one of the pre-packed panini's on offer from the fridge. There isn't a huge amount of choice of savoury items, but then again, it's a coffee house not a cafe. The flat white was very tasty and of decent strength, served in the appropriate sized cup, the panini was quite tasty, if a tad bread heavy. Afterwards a tried a choc- chip cookie, which was also very good. There's free wi-fi available , which seemed popular judging by the fact there were a couple of people sat working on laptops.South Side coffee is close to Northallerton train station.Good to see it's dog friendly too??A final mention goes to the staff, who were friendly and helpful. Cheers
Chilled outdoor seating area and lovely service. Top cinnamon buns also!

Excellent coffee house. Very friendly staff

Unfortunately I wouldn't go again. All the cafe had was pre-made sandwiches boxed up and when I asked for mayo they said no they don't have any. The sandwich was dry and I didn't enjoy it. Tea was ok but it felt like a packed lunch, not a cafe with much choice.
