We called in at Whitby Bothams just for a cup of tea. We were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome by the lovely staff. We later bought cakes and pies from the shop downstairs, which were excellent as usual. We’ve been visiting the various Botham’s cafe and shop for many years and they are always brilliant and very good value in our opinion.

We STRONGLY recommend these delicious cookies by Botham’s. The Pickering Botham’s tea room is lovely, just straight opposite the NYMR.We always supply Botham’s biscuits for our guests as part of their welcome pack to the holiday cottage, and I have to say… any of the ones with a tang of stem ginget are a win for me. Yum! Thanks guys.

This a 'little gem' of a place in Pickering. The staff are polite, helpful and always with a ready smile.A particular thanks to Susie, Mel and the professional bakers who created a beautiful celebration cake for a family member recently. Looked delightful and tasted divine! Thanks to everyone, front house and behind the scenes. An asset to Pickering Town !!

Travelled to Pickering on the NYMR and on coming out of the station Botham's was just about opposite. Purchase their cakes from time to time in our local Booths, so decided to go in. Whilst just about lunch time only a short wait for a table. Service was quick and friendly. Had delicious bacon butties followed by ginger parkin with custard. All first class. Coffee was spot on and so was their own brand tea. Afterwards stocked up on cakes to take home. Next day tried their Baxtergate shop in Whitby, not as good.

Called with my wife for drinks and cake. However when coming to pay with a card the payment machine appeared to gave me four options, three icons for adding a tip of variant amounts and one smaller for no tip. I felt this put me under pressure and spoilt our visit. Consequently I am unlikely to revisit or if I do will pay cash then I can leave a tip, the amount being at my discretion. Tea and cake was okay although the cup and saucers are very much a mismatch.

We had already enjoyed a delicious cup of tea in the Whitby branch so were delighted to enjoy coffee and lunch in Pickering. We were not disappointed and so glad to have discovered Bothams near the railway station in Pickering.

Came across this lovely little tea room during our visit to Pickering on our North Yorkshire Moors railway day trip. Staff were very friendly and they have a lovely outdoor seating area in the garden. The afternoon tea is all home made and was delicious, would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Pickering looking for a quick bite to eat.

Just perfect. We could not fault this delightful tearoom. A big bonus was the garden which we sat in to have our food. All of the staff were lovely, very friendly and happy. We had a pot of tea for 2 and I had a chicken, brie and cranberry sandwich. My OH had a toasted sandwich. All was spot on. Best place we have eaten at for a while. Please don't change and thank you to the staff.

Very good traditional tea room and bakery. The tea and cakes were delicious. Staff friendly and efficient. One of the few places were dogs are Not allowed which is a bonus especially for allergy sufferers.

Popped in here on a steam train ride from Whitby, as we'd heard that Botham's is a Yorkshire institution?! Nice coffee and piece of cake in the lovely terraced garden at the back. Hits the spot!

Meal was OK but the scone was claggy like those long life ones from supermarkets. Not what I expected and disappointing.

Simply a hidden gem in Pickering. Lovely friendly staff, nice simple menu offering freshly made to order food. Delicious hot and cold drink and first class service. Very reasonably priced.
