“I stopped off at the Tea room this Bank Holiday Sunday. they had obviously had a busy day but I had a great welcome and made my order. I had the best cream scone I have ever had when down with loose leaf green tea (a full pot with extra hot water). it set me up for the walk up Blakey ridge.Thank you. P”

“A very atmospheric place, a little lost in time, which for what it is is absolutely perfect. It's an olde worlde tea shop, where the pace is much slower, the staff aren't in your face and everything is just nicer, including the food which is excellent and well prepared. There is a takeaway bakery here too, which was really busy all the time we were here, which says everything you need to know - if it wasn't good, people wouldn't come! Every self respecting town could do with a Bothams, a generous slice of cake, with a generous slice of nostalgia and well worth a visit.”
