We went here three years ago and was very impressed but how things change!We were met with an abrupt welcome and was told to ‘sit over there’ - no welcomes and it felt like we weren’t expected even though we booked.The £16 combo starter is a con - we each had a bland golf ball sized bhaji, a couple pieces of meat which were more fat and gristle and breaded potatoes which had no flavour.The meat in the main courses was very overcooked and chewy.The worst thing was the service. We were cleverly upsold 2 poppadums when ordering and the waiter said ‘with pickles’ and we said yes. Little did we know we’d get a 6 pots of pickle and were charged £4 for it. I said twice I felt we were misled and I didn’t want to pay all that for 2 poppadums, but both times the waiters just argued with me. Poor customer service and not willing to address issues.Then they had the cheek to add a service charge which was not obvious on the menu!This place was half empty at 8.30pm on a Saturday night - speaks volumes.

Worst Indian food I ever had in such a beautiful restaurant. The restaurant itself looks pretty nice. Staff were friendly and helpful but the food was poor. I know Bengali/Indian food really well but this food is way too bad. The portion was small. All the curries were dry. Barely got any sauce to have my breads. The onion bhaji were undercooked. Tarka Dal was too small for the price of £6.95. Overpriced for other foods aswell. Overall a bad experience.

Lovely place to sit in and eat, however chicken was abit tough on the starter, tikka masala hardly no chicken far to watery and too much sauce with not much meat, not much taste to a masala. My son still felt hungry after his main. Expensive dishes £13.50. Not many chips . Overall service was very good but not to leave a service charge of £11 when your meal already is expensive.

Tried Namaste for the first time after many visit5to ither Pickering Indians. I have to say Namaste is definitely No.1 in Pickering and worth a visit. Forst class service and very good food
