Lovely little tea room. Didn't eat there as we had eaten in the station tea room.Parking: Busy but spare places

The southern terminus of the magnificent North York Moors Railway.Beautifully restored to how it would have looked in the 1930s, when it was part of the LNER network.Tea room is small but does lovely cakes and pies and you can always take your food out onto the platform to watch the trains

Stopped for lunch here on Saturday. Ordered some sandwiches which were freshly prepared before us. They were really good. Returned on Sunday for more! All surplus income goes towards work on the station. Very friendly people and an excellent cause to support. Only open at weekends.
Little Things
I was going to get a cuppa on the train, but decided to get it from the cafe. Due to the buffet only having flasks of water only to make hot drinks. The tea from the station cafe, was lukewarm and well stewed. Not nice at all. Will not buy a drink from here again. Unless they start making it fresh again.

Very nice place to sit and relax and enjoy a drink and a snack. Seating converted from old train seating, which really added to the overall theme of the place. Staff kind and friendly and very helpful.

Situated on Pickering station which runs the steam trains on the North Yorkshire Railway. An excellent nostalgic station and the tea rooms add to the all round ambiance. You can get hot and cold drinks and both hot and cold food from sandwiches, pies to a cooked meal.so you can see the steam trains and get something to eat and drink.Toilet facilities also available. You can park outside and Pickering town centre is a 2 minute walk away.Ramps also available to assist disabled access.
Wonderful book and gift shop at Pickering Station
