Excellent coffee and snacks served by well trained baristas, who create a relaxing atmosphere. My husband and I visit this store almost daily and have always been made to feel welcome. Julie the manager runs a well oiled business and in my opinion, this is by far the best Costa in the area.

We have been going in 3-4 days a week since we moved to Redcar 5 years a go. Never had any problems. Great friendly staff they know what we order when we go in. Julie is a great manger always goes out her way for everyone. Lovely and clean and great atmosphere. Thank you for the fantastic service from you all. Best coffee shop in Redcar

I have just received the worst customer service I have ever received from the manager of the Redcar branch (Julie). Due to getting herself flustered and her unsuccessful management of her staff, she ended up acting irrationally towards me, the paying customer. So much so that other customers spoke to her about her inappropriate behaviour, and even her staff could see how bad her customer service was and were apologetic towards me for her behaviour. When I first arrived I was told by Julie that my usual order of a Salted Caramel Cappuccino (something I get on an almost daily basis from other Costa branches) was not available as they didn’t do Salted Caramel Cappuccinos even though they had the syrup on the counter. At a mild comment from myself after orders had been mixed up to say “not sure if anyone knows what they’re doing”, Julie proceeded to blame the customers for not standing in the right queue order, when challenged she became defensive, suddenly told me she would refund my order as she “didn’t need my negative attitude in her shop”.other customers spoke out to say that her behaviour was uncalled for at which she continued to profess about my bad attitude even when it was clear that the only attitude problem belonged to Julie. Due to the another customer calling out Julie’s behaviour, she then decided that I could have my refund and wait for my coffees. She then told me I had personally attacked her staff, after asking me to follow her around the corner to talk, and that I had raised my voice at her which was untrue. My actions remained calm, as can be attested to by the other customers coming to my defence over Julie’s poor behaviour. I have never been more thoroughly embarrassed or had such poor service from a Costa employee, let alone one who holds managerial duties.

A good Costa. Only loses a star because its so noisy and I'm not keen on the baristas insulting each other loudly, it may be in jest but I don't want to hear it.

I Don't really like using this coffee shop in town as I find one of the staff members makes my anxiety throughout covid especially when she makes remakes to customers thats she doesn't need too and I suffer from generalised anxiety disorder so I can feel very anxious just when even I even see this manager at work as I heard the way she speaks to customers and I Don't like her attitude at all and if she spoke to me like that I would make sure she got the sack. As I Don't put up with a jump up manager who makes her own covid rules up and has a right attitude towards disabled people and I once had to walk out in a middle of my drink just after I paid for all my family which cost me about £40 during Covid as she wouldn't let a family with a new born baby sit at a table and my daughter new the babies mothers and it caused a right stir and many customers walked out that day and I only been in the place once or twice since when she hasn't been at work. As I won't put up with abuse as I'm disabled. Sorry and had covid.

Nice large cafe with plenty of room for social distancing. It is always busy with the smell of coffee in the air, making a great peaceful atmosphere. The staff are very welcome and friendly, but the prices are expensive even for hot chocolate that I like. In addition there are newspapers to read and it is great for meeting up with people. Overall a great coffee shop.
