We popped into this tea rooms halfway through a walk. It is a lovely, spacious tea rooms in a beautiful location. The fruit scones are lovely as is the soup. Would highly recommend.

Lovely little cafe in the wilds of the Dale's. Never fails to warm your heart with it's welcoming service and lovely Beveridge and snacks. I think one of Yorkshire finest!

Only stopped for a pot of tea. Lovely lady doing the brews. Nice and clean and good value to boot. A great place to stop.

My husband and I popped into the Tearooms for lunch on the way back to our holiday cottage and the place was lovely. Clean, warm, friendly and welcoming. The service was top notch, the prices good, the food and drinks brilliant and the home made ginger biscuits were the best. Thank you for a lovely relaxing lunch and thank you for allowing us to bring in our slightly wet German Sheppard!

Great coffee (Americano). Lovely lady serving who filled our bottles with cold water from the fridge. Some seating outdoors.

After a long journey by motorcycle from Scotland we were passing this place and decided to pop in for a nice cold pint of cola.I ordered 2 pints of draught cola and this cost £3.50 per pint .This is certainly the most expensive draught cola I have ever had and to top it off the lady who served me was very cheeky and offensive. We are from Scotland and when I tried to pay with Scottish money the lady said"oh is this legal tender " and I don't think I can take this money ( were talking about a £5 note).I then said OK then if there is a problem then I will change the note to another one which was a £20 note .After picking up the £20 note and complaining that"this was Scottish money"Well obviously as I am from ScotlandThe lady eventually accepted the money and gave me change. The way I was treated was appalling, with such a large b&b / restaurant there is no way this should have happened.Anyone who is passing by this place should just keep driving to another place where they appreciate your custom.

A comfortable self catering apartment in a quiet hotel. Lovely lounge ,kitchen area ,bedroom with super large bed and good shower room. Beautiful setting in quiet hamlet of Thwaite Swaledale .Nearby activities: Great location for country walks from the doorstep
Kearton Hotel is a great alternative stop to Keld for Coast to Coasters (Keld tends to be overbooked quickly)! It is only about 20 minutes by foot from Keld. Also highly recommended to walkers of the Pennine way!We absolutely loved our stay here!We had the best homemade meat pie on the whole trip. Our hosts were great and caring. And we had the best night of sleep in days. Surrounded by nature, you only hear the sound of the birds and sheep. It was beautiful.

Great place to have tea between 12:00-16:00 and the rented rooms upstairs are also very nice.

We called in for tea, coffee & cake while walking in the area. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we had lovely home made cakes and biscuits with our teas and coffee’s. The owner told us he’s recently refurbished and reopened some of the hotel rooms which is great news. Kearton House is in a lovely spot. The hotel had understandably suffered through the Covid years and it’s great to see things starting to turn round. I wish the owners every success and definitely recommend this as a place to call in on or stay at.
