Fantastic food. Burgers are great. A new dish, chicken waffle was tasty too. Welcoming staff and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We were staying nearby last week and visited this pub 3 times for a mixture of food and drink. 2 of us had the seafood pasta and one had a burger. Gorgeous flavours and well presented. The last occasion we had 2 meat and cheese sharing boards with some extra coleslaw and French fries. All very tasty ? ? . Good pint of Estrella lager aswell Friendly and helpful staff Definitely worth a visit if you are near Gilling West

Stopped here for lunch along our journey. Great food, varied menu inviting tapas, not typical pub fayre. Very dog friendly. Lovely outdoor seating (dogs also welcome inside).

We stayed at the White Swan and stable yard for one night, the room was perfect and extremely clean! We had food in the restaurant which was tapas and honestly faultless! Service was great particularly Lucy who was so friendly and very helpful. We will be back :)

I cannot speak too highly of this place. We had lunch as a walk-in and the staff were really pleasant, the food was exceptional and portion really generous. Would highly recommend it to anyone

Lovely pub, food was delicious totally recommend the pork chop, cooked well, moist and tasty. It came with tenderstem broccoli and green beans and mash which was divine. Staff were friendly and attentive.

The service was ok and the staff were friendly enough, although I was disappointed to find that a 10% service charge had been added to the bill and told I could remove it if I wished. I didn't. The food (Sunday Lunch) was disappointing and was clearly not freshly cooked but was re-heated fare. Looking at earlier great reviews something was clearly amiss, it did cross my mind that the owners may well be away looking after their other interests in Spain which is made a great deal of on the menu.

Came here for our early family Christmas dinner and from start to finish it just was utter shambles. The table being 1/2 hour late as they over tan the party before us then telling us they need it back by a certain time after we were Kate just put a dampener on the meal straight awayOrdering a cup of tea which was forgotten about and then coming 20 mins later after asking for it again and then the staff forgetting the basics like milk just became frustratingI wouldn’t go back to this restaurant I felt it was over priced for what it was

Stayed here in the apartment last weekend. Couldn’t fault it, dean was quick to respond when it snowed and we needed the heating turning up! Bar is cosy and well stocked. Thanks Dean, Victoria and all the staff. Merry Christmas

Visited with family from London, loved the vision, loved the story, food, drink and ambiance. It certainly lived up to expectations and would highly recommend the Victoria Lager and Tuna, Fish or lamb Burgers. Kids puds were a hit too! Perfect pit stop, a stones throw from the A66.
