“Just brought my two girls to Valentino’s in Ripon and would like to say a massive Thank you to Danny who was absolutely amazing! He was so polite with my girls talking through the wide choice of ice creams. I gave the ice cream a miss as trying to watch my weight but I absolutely loved my coffee with the Sneeky biscuits on the side! Thanks again for your amazing service!”

“August 2024 What can I say. Stunning location, traditional chocolate box village. Right opposite the village green, arrived to a cricket match and woke next morning to cows in a fenced off area on the same green. Small, friendly place with a warm welcome and quickly shown to our rooms. I noticed there was also a downstairs bedroom. Rooms were immaculate and modern, yet retained the charm and features of it's age. Lovely, huge comfy bed and good quality comfortable pillows. Beautiful modern bathroom with good quality fittings and a fabulous powerful shower. Bedding crisp and white. Towels could have been a bit softer. I travel with my own towel, but I did notice they felt very scratchy. Ate in the pub at night. Steak and Ale pie was homemade, plentiful and delicious. Fish and Chips, beautiful white fish and a very generous portion. Service good, friendly and nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent. Quality was very good indeed. Local suppliers and cooked extremely well. Very tasty. Th pub has a beautiful beer garden at the rear. Again, a classic English Country scene and the surrounding area is scenic, very peaceful and lovely for a walk. Really can't find fault with anything at all. I simply cannot recommend this place enough. Nothing to complain about, go stay... you won't be disappointed. oh.... By the way. At night it's silent. No passing traffic and sooo dark. Perfect for star gazing.”

“When I worked at Rippon a few years ago my wife was able to get me and four colleagues accomodation in this lovely house. I actually stayed myself in the small apartment by the front gateway. We thought it was the best of luck with the accommodation and also with the owners who were terrific,in fact they are the best. The peacefulness and beauty of the surroundings was beautiful. Nearby is the well-known ruins of Fountain Abbey, and lots of great walks. Always mean to call by, but it hasn't happened yet.”
