Just been in for a bite to eat this afternoon, despite living fairly locally, not been in for a number of years. Shared a starter (between 2), and a main each. Had the fish and chips, portion size was very generous, and couldn't quite finish it all, chips were superb, all in all very good.

We went to the Coach House Inn for dinner a couple of days before Christmas and the pub was buzzing, the restaurant not busy at all. Beers and wine were good and not expensive, and the food was good too, especially the steak pie. Service faltered at the dessert stage and after the long delay we had apologies and no charge for that item. Very good overall.

I went to visit my brother over the Xmas holidays. He lives in Scarborough and we drove here down the country lanes. Beautiful. In the dining room there is a small pool table at the other end. Set in a beautiful village in the middle of nowhere. Large car park too. We sat by the window in the dining room and had two large meat pies with the sister in law having a burger. With the meat pies came a large bowl of mixed veg and there was aa large bowl of fries too. All set in a beautiful village. Beautiful meal and would visit again in a heartbeat. One of the best places to eat in the area and would recommend to anyone

Took our son and his family there for his 30th birthday on Sunday, really nice staff, wonderful food and proper sized helpings, the jumbo fish and chips was "to die for".

Staying locally for a week and we have dropped in three times. The food is fresh, well presented and veg is plentiful. Between us we have had Sunday roast (pork and beef), baked haddock, Coach House chicken and Desperate Dan pie.Unfortunately they are huge meals and the puds look really good but no space for one!!Good choice of ciders and real ales.

Didn't stop in rooms, just go there for darts and pool matches. Always friendly. Fab selection of real ales for me, at least 5 at any given time. Very spacious layout with separate games room, restaurant and bar. Food menu looks great. Beautiful location, just not brilliant after snow!

A family lunch for 6 adults and 4 children. Generous portions of lovey presented food. The kids options were very well received. Adults all very satisfied with their meals and thought it great value for money. The lamb shank was succulent & tasty, the beef pie excellent, as was the haddock in chilli&lime sauce and the chicken options. The chips, mash, new potatoes, cabbage, swede & cauliflower were all really well cooked and presented. Would definitely recommend this to any family, couples or single diners. Everyone was made very welcome and very well looked after. Really friendly and professional service. As it was decked out in Halloween decorations the kids particularly loved looking around at all the spooks, spiders and witches.
