“Fantastic little pub, tried the other pub in the village and that seemed to be more geared towards locals. From first setting foot in the brown cow we were welcomed as was Nina the Rhodesian Ridgeback and much fuss was made of her. Sadly didn’t get to try the food but looked and smelt fantastic, will certainly be calling back in during the next few months. Mac and Nina”

“Staff are amazing very accommodating and cheapest drinks in the area. Brand new pool table is beautiful. Also dog friendly but respectful of people who don’t want to be around dogs are there is a lot of space and different rooms.”

“First time we tried the Jolly Sailor having been recommended by a friend and passed it by many times before. We went for an early evening meal and booked in advance. A quaint country pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We ordered from the 2 course menu. The food was excellent, served hot, presented well and was amazing value. Sophie served us and everyone else, she was a Trojan, never stopping all evening but made sure all the customers were attended to. Even when there were some slight challenges with a customer’s meal she handled it respectfully and sorted it straight away. We will be back again.”

“1st time visiting and definitely won't be the last. Place is very welcoming and decor is lovely, friendly staff behind bar. Food was amazing, can't fault anything especially the proper home cooked chips. Everything you could tell was fresh and home cooked. Thankfully left a little room for dessert, brownie, apple pie and the nicest sticky toffee pudding I've ever had! Highly recommend, plenty parking on site. Would rate it more than 5 stars if that was an option.”
