This is exactly where you want to be when you are looking for a yummy, affordable and plentiful meal, especially on a cold and rainy day.Everything is fresh and tastes absolutely amazing, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. They don't have too many tables but they have a basement dining area that appears below this beautiful spiral staircase and the temperature is perfect, I must say I do feel cozy and warm. The only way to pay in here is with cash but no problem if you don't have any, Lloyd's bank is right across the street.Today we got Whole tail scampi, Goujons of Place and a lovely cottage pie with a jacket potato, sides of peas and chips, all of which were piping hot and delicious.I highly recommend this place in the heart of Scarborough...the journey goes on ⭐⭐⭐⭐?

What a lovely place! Stumbled upon it whilst having a wander around Scarborough. It serves typical British food, well made, and great portions. Didn't have room for desserts, so I took two cakes to go. I would definitely go again!

Nice place, a very Yorkshire cafe - can sit around 60. Staff very rushed but very friendly and happy to take requests like can you swap the egg on the breakfast etc. Great deals too - very recommended (sausages were a bit cardboardy though)

Very cosy place. Staff polite and very aware of the what's going on. Keeping and eye, topping up, cleaning and assisting. Food was good and in reasonable price. The place itself has got an atmosphere I really liked.

This is a lovely and osy independent cafe in Scarbrough Town center.I would have loved to eat here, as i was quite hungry, however, i discovered that this cafe ONLY ACCEPTS CASH!! So had to take my custom elsewhere, whilst going hungry for the rest of the morning ,

Great find thanks to The Curb on Facebook. Popped in for a Tuesday lunch sandwich, a very traditional cafe, pot of tea for two with extra hot water…a treat. A couple of traditional filled baguette …tuna and egg mayo, freshly made and great value. But don’t forget your cash!

Breakfast was so cheap you wonder what the catch was. None. Good quality bacon, decent quality sausages, superb fried break as well as bread, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Bizarrely I also got a portion of chips which was also appreciated, Lovely service and will be back as soon as I can

Don't normally write reviews, but after staying in Scarborough for a 4 day break recently we found this little gem of a place. Does exactly what is great about a small business , is all about, providing good wholesome food at an excellent price. The front of house staff ( 2 lovely )hard working girls which are a credit too the owner , may I add were polite and very helpful and efficient . Would just like to thank and recommend .
