We called in to the Farrier on Friday evening not being too familiar with the area or the place itself.
The lady who looked to be front of house/owner was very accommodating and made us feel so welcome including our dog who settled in straight away.
All the staff who we came across were professional but also also genuine.
We had an amazing meal but overall a lovely evening in a beautifully designed, attention to detail and further, just a comfortable place to relax and dine.
I don't normally leave reviews but I can see and appreciate the time and effort that has gone into every aspect of this little gem to make it what it is today.
Will definitely be popping in again or booking an overnight stay if in the area again.
We noticed the four in a bed winner award too.
I think it could win every week!
Keep it up and thank you for accommodating a lovely evening for us.

Tunny Catch

We came to the Tunny Catch on Sunday night and were greeted by Luke, who showed us to our table and explained that we could order either from the table or at the bar.
We ordered from the table, and within a couple of minutes Luke had brought all our drinks over. We thought this was fantastic service, especially as the restaurant was quite busy.
We ordered four Cowboy Burgers, which were all nicely cooked and really enjoyable. We also had a mixture of desserts, which were lovely too.
A big thank you to Luke for the quick service and excellent customer service skills. He was friendly, attentive and made our visit even more enjoyable. Great job, Luke! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We have had a takeaway and sat in for dinner and both times the food was absolutely excellent. The staff can’t do enough for you. One member of staff that was on last night even went to the shop across the road to get bananas so I could have a banana split. I would highly recommend the Hideout. The pizza I had is the best gluten free pizza I have ever had. Full of flavour and the base was nice and crispy. 10 out of 10 guys keep up the great work.

I think the meal was quite good, I absolutely loved the chips they were divine! The reason for the 5 in total yet 4 in food might be personal preference but I wasn’t a fan favourite of the fish. However in my opinions I think the prices are reasonable and good.

Kid-friendliness: There’s even a kids option for children, basically the same thing but a smaller portion and also a smaller price in fairness.

Wheelchair accessibility: There’s seating outdoors and if I remember correctly only one step to get in or there was no steps at all.

My husband and I had a wonderful Sunday Lunch at The View. The quality of the food was excellent. We were served three meats on a board, beef pork and chicken with all the trimmings. The Yorkshire puddings and gravy best ever. Everything was cooked to perfection and we would definitely recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely and warm on a cold rainy day. We had a window table with a lovely sea view. Our waitress Ruby was very friendly and attentive. Looking forward to returning again.

Fantastic service, we turned up tonight (Saturday) and asked for a table for 2 with no booking. The kind staff accommodated us quickly and managed to seat us, even though they were very busy. Absolutely wonderful staff, couldn't have done more for us, food is absolutely delicious, very comfortable relaxed setting, and you can bring your own alcohol. We live a 5 minute walk away and have decided this will be our go to Indian from now on. A busy restaurant is always a good sign in my opinion, and this is my 2nd time visiting and was not disappointed. 5 stars 100% deserved.

I regularly visit the Crown Tavern for both food and drinks, especially now Lindz and Anthony are in house. The menu is large but cooked to perfection, with gluten free and vegan options, also catering to allergies and children, and everything is served promptly and with pride. The star of the menu for me has to be either the chilli or cauliflower wings!
Not only is this a great place to fill your bellies, theres always something going on: on Monday theres poker night and free pool, and ales are only £2.70!; Tuesday the pool league meet for competitions; Wednesday is bingo night; Thursday is quiz night with the chance to win extra prizes through play your cards right and spin the wheel.
Mon-Thursday Carlsberg is only £3!! But if youre visiting on a weekend there are loads of drinks deals on bottles all week long and there are raffles with the chance to win prizes.
Lindz and Ant have made the Crown Tavern an unmissable venue in Scarborough, turning it a full 180° from what it was in September/October time. This is reflected in all aspects of the pub, including the staff. Mel, Tarnia and Harry are always on the ball, tending to any and every request with a friendly attitude and a bit of banter.

This is the 4th time we've been here and every time it's been brilliant! The service is always with a smile even if it's really busy like it was yesterday. We're are all fussy eaters and the lady on the bar (not sure of her name, young with lip piercings) was super understanding and very helpful. We are currently on holiday and decided we would try this little pub. We were not disappointed! There was a lovely warm welcome and service was friendly and we were made to feel like we were a regular.

The drinks were made to perfection. We had 1/2 a lager shandy which was made equal parts and tasted refreshing. We also had a blackcurrant and lemonade again this was made just right.

We had our two dogs with us and it was lovely to be able to eat with them.

The food we ordered was the fish and chips, lasagne and a side of onion rings. The pictures speak for themselves.

I would definitely recommend and will use again when we are on holiday we will also be recommending friends and family who visit locally for a holiday to come and eat here.

You won’t be disappointed.

Called into this lovely pub yesterday on a visit to Scarborough. Sat in the sunshine with other customers enjoying the atmosphere. The three members of staff we encountered were so friendly, polite and helpful. My wife is celiac but this pub had a couple of great gluten free options including a locally brewed ipa! Whilst we didn’t eat, plenty did and the food looked tasty and plentiful. We will be back to eat in the very near future. Highly recommend.

Our first time visiting The Yew Tree Cafe yesterday for a festive afternoon tea after a weekend in Cayton Bay. From first walking in all of the staff offered a very friendly and warm welcome towards us. The service was timely and served with the most courtesy. Stumbled across this coffee shop on a very cold day visiting Scarborough. Initially went in as it was dog friendly and we had our dog with us. We sat downstairs which was a lovely cosy setting. The steps are quite steep though and spiral if anyone struggles with steps. The food arrived in minutes and was lovely. My fussy eater teen ordered chips and ate them all saying how nice they were. We had tea in little pots which he liked pouring his own and you got plenty for the money. Staff were lovely. Definitely a place I'd re visit with or without the dog. Toilet was downstairs and very clean. Would recommend.

Poor staff were melting in the shop with +30 temp outside - manager/owner running around helping staff keep cool by a constant supply of cold wet towels staff applied to their necks! They still managed to serve in that heat with a smile and conversation! Bonus the food is great, and we only visit a couple of times a year, but we'll be back here for sure. Took our booty down to north Bay and enjoyed a sea view and some great food. Thanks

We went on Bank Holiday weekend just gone for Sunday lunch and a few drinks in the sunshine. On a Sunday only the roast dinners are available. They are priced perfectly for the food we received. It was all excellent, staff were excellent too and really made us feel welcome. By far the best Sunday lunch we've had in a pub in a very long time. Cocktails are great but the menu needs to be better displayed otherwise we would have missed them. Lots of beer ran out while we were there too (may have just been because it was a busy Bank Holiday). Spirit selections were a little sparse too, need more quality Vodka and tequila behind the bar. We stayed until well after 7pm having arrived at 1pm! We watched the live band who are all from Scarborough, This House We Built, in The Cask & Keg basement, who were also excellent (buy their album!).
The refurbishment at The Cask & Keg is tasteful with a hat tip to the old decor and we love that the snug had been retained. Highly recommend visiting this pub, we will be back!

An independent cafe run by a hardworking team, in a great location. Being able to park nearby when my friends struggle with mobility was a real boon. I was going to post a picture of how nice the Friday breakfast deal was, but it looked so good I forgot!
Staff were brilliant, friendly, professional and didn’t mind rearranging furniture to get the table I wanted in my wheelchair.
For somewhere not close to town centre you can tell the quality when place is almost full at 09:30 on a Friday morning with a bunch of workmen in, who always know best deals and best food.

My visit was to the cafe above. This cafe faces to sea front and the views are just jaw dropping. My visit was in the latter part of December so very nippy weather. The cafe does 'event' catering - the event was the gathering after a funeral. The food was lovely. Sandwiches were fresh and well filled. Excellent pork pies along with hot finger foods made the buffet feel very welcoming away from the very blustery weather. Lovely tea and coffee. Staff were top notch and could not be more helpful. Smallish place accessed by a steep staircase (did not see a lift but then I didn't look for one). Also has an outside balcony with tables giving a wonderful view of the beach. I like this little gem and would happily visit again.

An absolutely superb BnB, a wonderful 2 night stay, hosts go out of their way to ensure your stay is smooth and enjoyable. I am a lady solo traveller and from the outset Dan and Danellia made me feel comfortable, and they are exceptionally friendly. The bedding and towels are of top quality and the best I’ve experienced in a BnB, prestige and luxe. Our waiter Jackson was very friendly and helpful such a polite young man nothing was to much trouble. The pizza are amazing so delicious and baked in front of you in the pizza oven.
