We called in to the Farrier on Friday evening not being too familiar with the area or the place itself.
The lady who looked to be front of house/owner was very accommodating and made us feel so welcome including our dog who settled in straight away.
All the staff who we came across were professional but also also genuine.
We had an amazing meal but overall a lovely evening in a beautifully designed, attention to detail and further, just a comfortable place to relax and dine.
I don't normally leave reviews but I can see and appreciate the time and effort that has gone into every aspect of this little gem to make it what it is today.
Will definitely be popping in again or booking an overnight stay if in the area again.
We noticed the four in a bed winner award too.
I think it could win every week!
Keep it up and thank you for accommodating a lovely evening for us.

We visited today after seeing the good Google reviews. Down some steps you are greeted with a lovely little coffee shop and eatery. Great service with a smile!
The flat white was great and there was a good selection of loose leaf teas. We had some cakes and chips both which were very tasty.
A good secluded spot in town away from the crowds a bit.

I think the meal was quite good, I absolutely loved the chips they were divine! The reason for the 5 in total yet 4 in food might be personal preference but I wasn’t a fan favourite of the fish. However in my opinions I think the prices are reasonable and good.

Kid-friendliness: There’s even a kids option for children, basically the same thing but a smaller portion and also a smaller price in fairness.

Wheelchair accessibility: There’s seating outdoors and if I remember correctly only one step to get in or there was no steps at all.

My husband and I had a wonderful Sunday Lunch at The View. The quality of the food was excellent. We were served three meats on a board, beef pork and chicken with all the trimmings. The Yorkshire puddings and gravy best ever. Everything was cooked to perfection and we would definitely recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely and warm on a cold rainy day. We had a window table with a lovely sea view. Our waitress Ruby was very friendly and attentive. Looking forward to returning again.

Fantastic service, we turned up tonight (Saturday) and asked for a table for 2 with no booking. The kind staff accommodated us quickly and managed to seat us, even though they were very busy. Absolutely wonderful staff, couldn't have done more for us, food is absolutely delicious, very comfortable relaxed setting, and you can bring your own alcohol. We live a 5 minute walk away and have decided this will be our go to Indian from now on. A busy restaurant is always a good sign in my opinion, and this is my 2nd time visiting and was not disappointed. 5 stars 100% deserved.

I regularly visit the Crown Tavern for both food and drinks, especially now Lindz and Anthony are in house. The menu is large but cooked to perfection, with gluten free and vegan options, also catering to allergies and children, and everything is served promptly and with pride. The star of the menu for me has to be either the chilli or cauliflower wings!
Not only is this a great place to fill your bellies, theres always something going on: on Monday theres poker night and free pool, and ales are only £2.70!; Tuesday the pool league meet for competitions; Wednesday is bingo night; Thursday is quiz night with the chance to win extra prizes through play your cards right and spin the wheel.
Mon-Thursday Carlsberg is only £3!! But if youre visiting on a weekend there are loads of drinks deals on bottles all week long and there are raffles with the chance to win prizes.
Lindz and Ant have made the Crown Tavern an unmissable venue in Scarborough, turning it a full 180° from what it was in September/October time. This is reflected in all aspects of the pub, including the staff. Mel, Tarnia and Harry are always on the ball, tending to any and every request with a friendly attitude and a bit of banter.

This is the 4th time we've been here and every time it's been brilliant! The service is always with a smile even if it's really busy like it was yesterday. We're are all fussy eaters and the lady on the bar (not sure of her name, young with lip piercings) was super understanding and very helpful. I can’t thank them enough. It was my daughter’s 14th birthday and she really wanted a Pizza Hut pizza. Unfortunately, our Scarborough restaurant is shut so we ordered to take away. The lovely man behind the counter put a number 14 in pepperoni in 2 of the pizzas. We had 6 lovely different flavour pizzas and all were demolished in minutes. All thanks to the guy behind the counter, we will be back. Super friendly guy and great service.

Very welcoming host James is, I contacted to let him know we would be there early and asked if we could get the on street parking pass and then go into Scarborough until our room was ready when we arrived around 12.15 he had got the room ready for us so we had rest of the day to do what we pleased
Rooms are very clean and beds are exceptionally comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent with a good selection to chose from on the pre order form which you are asked to complete the night before and hand in by 8pm which is a great idea
Staff who served breakfast were very good.
the house is decorated to a high standard retaining some of its period features but with a modern twist.
Located a couple of minutes walk from the spa fenicular railway which will take you to the sea front for a reasonable £2.50 return

Burger was 10/10 faultless... Called into this lovely pub yesterday on a visit to Scarborough. Sat in the sunshine with other customers enjoying the atmosphere. The three members of staff we encountered were so friendly, polite and helpful. My wife is celiac but this pub had a couple of great gluten free options including a locally brewed ipa! Whilst we didn’t eat, plenty did and the food looked tasty and plentiful. We will be back to eat in the very near future. Highly recommend.

Our first time visiting The Yew Tree Cafe yesterday for a festive afternoon tea after a weekend in Cayton Bay. From first walking in all of the staff offered a very friendly and warm welcome towards us. The service was timely and served with the most courtesy. The breakfasts were absolutely excellent ,fresh, delicious, and perfectly cooked. The staff were amazing too, so friendly and welcoming, which really made the whole visit feel special. The atmosphere had such a lovely vibe, relaxed and enjoyable from the moment we arrived.

We also loved that it’s dog-friendly, so we could bring our pup along who was very happy with their “doggy sausage”!

It ended up being the perfect spot to celebrate my birthday breakfast. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit.

Stumbled across this coffee shop on a very cold day visiting Scarborough. Initially went in as it was dog friendly and we had our dog with us. We sat downstairs which was a lovely cosy setting. The steps are quite steep though and spiral if anyone struggles with steps. The food arrived in minutes and was lovely. My fussy eater teen ordered chips and ate them all saying how nice they were. We had tea in little pots which he liked pouring his own and you got plenty for the money. Staff were lovely. Definitely a place I'd re visit with or without the dog. Toilet was downstairs and very clean. Would recommend.

Poor staff were melting in the shop with +30 temp outside - manager/owner running around helping staff keep cool by a constant supply of cold wet towels staff applied to their necks! They still managed to serve in that heat with a smile and conversation! Bonus the food is great, and we only visit a couple of times a year, but we'll be back here for sure. Took our booty down to north Bay and enjoyed a sea view and some great food. Thanks

Heavily tilted towards a sports theme when you see the decor and tvs showing football and rugby.

We went on Bank Holiday weekend just gone for Sunday lunch and a few drinks in the sunshine. On a Sunday only the roast dinners are available. They are priced perfectly for the food we received. It was all excellent, staff were excellent too and really made us feel welcome. By far the best Sunday lunch we've had in a pub in a very long time. Cocktails are great but the menu needs to be better displayed otherwise we would have missed them. Lots of beer ran out while we were there too (may have just been because it was a busy Bank Holiday). Spirit selections were a little sparse too, need more quality Vodka and tequila behind the bar. We stayed until well after 7pm having arrived at 1pm! We watched the live band who are all from Scarborough, This House We Built, in The Cask & Keg basement, who were also excellent (buy their album!).
The refurbishment at The Cask & Keg is tasteful with a hat tip to the old decor and we love that the snug had been retained. Highly recommend visiting this pub, we will be back!

This pub has recently changed ownership and what a fantastic transformation it has been! Spotless inside, it smells clean and the Decor is fantastic!

We were in for a couple of hours and the bar manager is perfect for front of house, he was polite and engaging with everyone that came in and made us feel extremely welcome during our visit!

Fantastic drinks selection and they were very reasonably priced! They also had happy hour offers on drinks and cocktails which we would be keen to try on another visit! Would have stayed longer if we didn't have plans. Will definitely be back!
