Really nice fish and chips! Not the usual covered in grease and fish that's mush. These fish and chips are quality and clearly fresh! Very tasty and nice premises with clean facilities. The proprietor was welcoming and friendly.\\nGood-sized portions and card payments taken. The kids portions are a good size too.

Yummy food, phone ordered, was ready on collection, we didnt get our cans of coke in bag, maybe had to ask for it. Being a tight wad i dont forget these things. ?

Today Sat 3rd Dec 2022 . I went for the first time to this fish and chip shop , expensive but not in a bad way as everything in the world is expensive in today’s society. The quality of the food here is excellent and the best fish and chips I have had for a very long time . The shop as a very high standard of cleanliness and the small but very nice looking cafe area is also meticulously clean . I will certainly be returning for more of this outstanding quality food …

Delicious fish \\u0026 chips. Generous portion, no sign of sogginess! Crisp \\u0026 dry decent sized Chips with light , crispy batter on very meaty fish. 10/10

Good quality, traditional Fish and chips at reasonable prices and pleasantly large portions. Friendly staff and the Curry Sauce is absolutely excellent!

We get fish and chips every friday from crossgates the fish batter is very light and the fish is gorgeous normally and we have peas and gravy too but been tonight 20may22 and I know we are in a recession but no need the fish was about 1cm thick were normally it's a lot thicker there was more batter than fish and the chips were hard so that was £20.00 down drain lost my custom as I'm not prepared to pay for that not happy
My husband waited over an hour to be served....he would have walked out but they take the money first. Terrible service. Couldn't eat the fish and chips because of the stress!!!!!

1 small haddock and chips, 1 medium haddock and chips and 1 fishcake, total outlay just short of £17.00 ! I'm sorry but for good quality food l would think twice next time, what we had was far from good quality and l dont need to think twice! Never again, sorry. One chap thought he had hearing problems when he was told £5.00 for two bags of chips. Despite saying that they weren't \\\"under new management \\\" clearly the chippie has new owners or shall we say fairly recent new owners. Having had an excellent reputation previously, whom ever now owns the buisness clearly is not in the slightest bit interested in maintaining that good name, well good luck with that! We shall now take our money elsewhere. l realise that businesses are struggling but shoddy standards and prices will do nothing to help profits.

Had a medium cod, it was absolutely huge!! Gorgeous flaky fish. Definitely worth a visit!!

Bloomin lovely impromptu late lunch after a fun few hours at water park. Table service staff \\u0026 chefs lovely and food lovely too! We were a group of 2 mums, 2 kids \\u0026 2 teens. Had a mixture of fish \\u0026 sausage dinners between us, cans of pop, pots of tea \\u0026 icecreams to follow! Could have curled up \\u0026 gone straight to sleep after. Yes, we will all think it’s a little pricey these days but knowing people in the trade it’s not just trade price increases that they’re dealing with but WE all are now dealing with utility increases! Spot on stop! And an extra plus was being able to park right outside \\u0026 then straight back onto A64 after!
