A great little pub, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of town! Nicely kept beers, nicely furnished and a tasty looking menu.

Lovely pub, dog friendly too, drink prices are at the higher end Id say, but it is a really nice pleasant place. The food was great quality for the money paid, we both left stuffed. Car park very convenient at the side although it is pay and display before 6

Where do we start Jess welcoming and polite with a Yorkshire twist.Bar prices reasonable and drink selection extensive. We was looking for an old school Yorkshire bar that served quality food and we were not disappointed,we were so impressed we ate twice.Simple but focused menu something for everyone, there is a slight wait but you accept that for quality food.First visit chicken curry and parmo, second visit beef chilli and Cajun chicken burger both awesome proper quality grub.Jess very attentive despite us having a very irritated dachshund.YES THATS THE ICING ON THE CAKE DOG ? FRIENDLY??Highly recommended and thanks to Jess and the chefs for making our visit memorable ???

We had a table for four and the food for each of us was very very good. There were two vegan options on the Sunday menu and because it was New Year’s Day we got to have the Sunday menu, even though it wasn’t Sunday. Both the vegan options were exceptionally good Very reasonably priced. The only slightly strange thing was that there was a bracket that we think was a bottle opener on the wall/column next to our table. When ordering, they asked me the table number so I went to look round the column to see the table number, and the bracket went into my forehead. It was very painful. I asked the baster for ice and the customers who had witnessed the accident were very concerned for me, but none of the staff showed any concern whatsoever. At the moment. I have a scab and bruising to my hairline. I think they should take that bracket down.

An absolutely must when in Scarborough. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The food is excellent, and the owners are extremely welcoming and interested. The whole atmosphere is unique for the Boro. Thanks so much from your German 'regulars', Christina and Gunter Strähle.Wheelchair accessibility: Barrierefreiheit

Our table was booked for 5pm we arrived at 4.45pm our table wasn't ready but the friendly staff took us to a different table so we didn't have to wait. You are probably going to pay £15-£20 per head but the food was worth it.HOWEVER ....this IS NOT a family friendly pub if Derek the landlord and his mates are drinking shots in the bar. The landlord was happy to throw a plate of cream in his friend's face, the friend then decided it would be funny to physically assault me and cover me in the cream as I walked out of the pub. My evening was totally ruined because not only did I have to go home and change my clothes, shower to get rid of the smell of cream so I could then carry on with my evening afterwards I was ridiculed and embarrassed in front of a crowded pub as well as in front of my wife and child.DEFINITELY NOT a pub for anyone who is not a local.I am not writing this review to affect his business because I would definitely have enjoyed my evening and the £50 we spent would have been worth it if it were not for the childish antics.

Absolutely brilliant pub. Derek and Jeanette ( landlord and landlady) make everyone feel so welcome. We've been in Scarborough for the new year weekend and have eaten and drank here for the 3 days we have been here. Wouldn't go anywhere else! Food is gorgeous. Been here for the new year and during the year aswell for the last 6-7 years and always have lots of fun and laughter. Well recommended
