We popped in to see what the hotel was actually like; very impressive. We stayed for Sunday Roast; 3 coarse £9.95 friendly and polite staff. We'll go again, may even stay the night.

As to be expected in a large hotel of this age, the room was in need of decoration, it was hard work trying to buy a drink at meal times.

The staff are very friendly and supportive. The hotel has many activities that you can join in the evening. And the room was clean and comfy.

Popular and inexpensive. You get what you pay for. We paid £59 for a double room. (The bed is actually double, so if you prefer kingsize , it is best to " double check"and pardon the pun ?. )an ensuite room for 2 people to share for that one price is amazing. A few niggles but nothing much. The radiator was boiling? and could not be turned down or switched off. We told reception, and they promised their maintenance ? man would fix it. They even told us it was fixed ? when we returned after a ?‍♀️‍➡️?‍♂️‍➡️walk, but alas, it was still at ? boiling point all night. Cest la vie. And apart from the tiny ? bed and the fire alarm that scared us to death? at 5AM. It was only a short time, but my heart took 30 minutes to stop thumping out of my chest. So very, very loud!?. One light ? out of a possible 3 worked in the bathroom. But, apart from all that, everything was great ?. What can only be expected for the ? money.

You get what you pay for, and at £59 a night, we did not expect much, and that's what we got, not much.Rooms: The room was too hot as the radiator was stuck on full. When we reported it, they said they would fix it. When we got back to the hotel and asked if it had been fixed, they reported it had... but when we got to the room, it had not.
