We prebooked a table for four last week one evening and came with family. As soon as we came through the entrance we were greeted by the manager Rebecca who was also our server for the evening. She showed us to our table and asked what we would like for drinks, while she gave us some menus to look at. We all had different dishes, all of which came piping hot and fresh. I had scampi, chunky chips and garden peas. Im always a bit weary of getting scampi as it can be soggy but this was cooked to perfection and so were the chips. Rebecca came over and asked us if everything was ok with our food and if we wanted more drinks. Some of us had desserts and lattes for after which all came nice and hot. The place has a nice welcoming atmosphere and I will definitely be coming back again to try something different.

Popped in for breakfast and was greeted with a warm welcome. Food was lovely and even catered for a fussy eater nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend!

Came here for the quiz as had heard it was a good night. Well it didn’t disappoint! The atmosphere was great, the staff were friendly and the food was lovely and we even knew quite a few of the answers! Definitely come here again.

easy and no non-sense booking/check-inrooms were ok but were super hot despite us turning off the heating and opening the window (which can only be cracked open)we had dinner in the pub and out of the 4 of us none of us were very happy with the meals: they were greasy, sauces felt industrial, some of the meats were burned etc - very, very average at best.Breakfast staff were very nice and breakfast was OK although also using pre-made stuff (avocado on toast the avocado wasn't freshly made etc)
I visited with a group of friends on a Friday evening to take advantage of the 30% off the new menu offer. We were greeted warmly and taken straight to our table is the busy dining area. I ordered the chicken kebab and my friends ordered the halloumi kebab and burgers. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the accompaniments were delicious. The burgers were really tall and full of flavour,chips were hot, crispy and bonus points for giving full bottles when asking for sauces! I will definitely be back!

We came for the quiz for the second time, we absolutely love it! The host is so full of character and makes it really enjoyable! It’s a great quiz full of interesting themes and questions we can actually answer!

Nothing has changed staff still really nice but let down by the very substandard food no better then a works canteen fancy name for rubbish

Not had a good meal steak was burnt not nice well over cooked and dry ,( I asked for med !! ) don't do jacket potato any more so had to have chips .my husband liked Marsden smooth and our friend liked Carlsberg/ fosters but stopped selling them now only premium larger & bitter now. Don't think we will be going back !
