Both times the food was bang on!We have now come to Owelet hideaway and ordered again.The food here is superb! Especially when on vacation you might be a bit hesitant to order, Don't be! Food is fantastic, service is fantastic and it came within 30 minutes!Trust me, try them!

As soon as we came through the entrance we were greeted by the manager Rebecca who was also our server for the evening. She showed us to our table and asked what we would like for drinks, while she gave us some menus to look at. We all had different dishes, all of which came piping hot and fresh. I had scampi, chunky chips and garden peas. Im always a bit weary of getting scampi as it can be soggy but this was cooked to perfection and so were the chips. Rebecca came over and asked us if everything was ok with our food and if we wanted more drinks. Some of us had desserts and lattes for after which all came nice and hot. The place has a nice welcoming atmosphere and I will definitely be coming back again to try something different.

I have only just moved here from Garforth in Leeds and have never really been that big a fan of Greggs until now. I have always found the staff to be a bit numb, not making eye contact or even passing pleasantries.However..... the young lady here has made the difference! Polite, friendly and well mannered.You just got yourself a new regular customer. Well done!

The Drovers Arms Restaurant & Country Pub
York Rd, SelbyArrived with our friends on a carriage driving day in the grounds of Escrick Estate, Skipwith nature reserve and surrounding farm land. Grand day out and a planned visit to the Drovers was topped off by very helpful staff, particularly in the kitchen where our food choices arrived in boxes rather than plates and some carrots for our ponies. We also learned that the Drovers had been the place of our friends first date who knew!!!

They even got my order wrong once (sent chicken instead of beef). It was delicious anyway so I wasn’t going to say anything and just enjoy it. Five minutes later they phoned to say they delivered chicken instead of beef and asked if I wanted the beef delivering straight away or adding to my next order. They brought it straight away with extra prawn crackers too!Thank you from Lordship Farm x

It was the perfect balance between lamb and spices.Since I now knew a tray of kebab meat was on the cards. I moved onto ordering a 14" pepperoni pizza.Service was prompt and pizza was served hot.The pizza base was fluffy and the tomato base was light. There was enough cheese and pepperoni to make it just perfect!With the free garlic bread, It was 100% bang on. Thank you sir for the lovely food and I will be seeing you again soon.

Mings Chinese Take Away, 28 Church Hill, SelbyLove this place got to be 1 of the best Chinese takeaway I've been to . Staff are lovely there bloody quick. The food is on point and there happy to accommodate changes , price wise it's very fair . Taste in my opinion Is perfect. Parking can be tricky due to location but it's not really an issue . I like you can see all the kitchen and the guys prepping your food. Highly recommend

Both lovely. Gluten free strawberry and white chocolate cake to take out. Yummy ?

Food was served buffet style in own are of room. Sandwiches, quiches, pork pie along with other cold options. Hot selection was varied options of Indian samosa, differant style chicken pieces , chips and lots more. A really good choice of finger food for the guests. Bar had plenty of options with bottled and cask, gins, wines and soft drinks. Plenty of toilets so no long queues. Toilets clean and well kept. Ample parking outside, noticed alot of camper vans parked up in one section.Drinking area outside with canopy and seating. Staff extremely warm, friendly, helpful and welcoming. Bar prices well priced. Looked on notice board and the place has multiple acts, theme weekends all thru the year. Carvery on a Sunday is one of the most popular in the area, booking advised. Venue itself has other function room that would easily suit a wedding reception or larger Birthday celebration. Venue easy to find as is along side Drax power station on major roads.Parking: Plenty of parking for smaller upto big vehicles. Parking is free and safe and secure.Wheelchair accessibility: All on one level with wide doors and well thought out bar and social areas. Disabled toilets easily accessible.
