Visited New Years Day , very grateful to be able to walk in as we had no booking. We also were delighted to be able to bring our dog Tyson. Was a small restaurant but quite busy . We were offered free Prosecco on arrival, a lovely touch . Our host was chef ,Barman ,waiter and pot washer all in one . How he pulled it off is remarkable!

Had an amazing home cooked Italian meal at this lovely Italian restaurant with great service. Full of character and proper cooked from scratch pasta dishes. Would highly recommend to anyone who prefers proper food to chain restaurant food. The wine was also very good and everything was very reasonably priced. Thanks for booking us in at short notice and for chatting to us at the end of the night.... we'll be back!

Dropped in with friends on a night out in Settle. It's a tiny little place with a relaxed atmosphere. Service was slow but the food was great and we enjoyed our time there. Highly recommended. The chef is also the waiter, barman and bottle washer. He cares about what he does and you can tell, the food is delicious.

What a lovely little restaurant.... Certainly take my hat off to the guy running the place, one man band, ?. He's chef, front of house, waiter, barman etc etc. Fantastic food too, would definitely recommend. ?

Me and my husband both had lovely meals and would really recommended. Matteo made us feel very welcome and accommodated a menu change with no fuss. Relaxed atmosphere and great food.

Restaurant we would visit again. Delicious food at good prices in a quirky unique environment. Matteo works alone yet manages to keep everything running smoothly and finds time to look after his guests.

This place is definitely a one of a kind. We came here during our visit to settle, and this place alone will certainly make us come back to the town centre. It's among the best Italian food we've had (which is a lot). The king prawns starter had us shutting our eyes to savour it, because it were absolutely divine. The carbona that I had was faultless, the sauce was a little runnier than I'm used to, but it was still thick enough and very tasty. My partner's meatballs were devoured very quickly - the were amazing too, especially the sauce. The pasta on both dishes was cooked perfectly. Lovely fresh bread served with the starter and a main. The only small thing we have to say is that the meatballs were quite salty, however the very nice sauce made the salt a nice level.The thing I find the most amazing, is that it was one man doing everything on his own - literally. The cooking, the waiting, the phone, everything. Kudos to him!! I'm absolutely amazed, and he was very friendly and on the ball with everything. Very inspiring.The atmosphere was very genuine Italian. It was in a stone basement style room, very intimate. Very unique. Proper Italian music and lovely warm lighting, it was very relaxing.I can't wait to visit again.

I met matteo and he was a lovely hard Working guy all on his own . He had no help in the restaurant and he got the food out quick and into a super amazing standard it was so good and definitely worth a try

I was impressed from the moment I phoned the restaurant! I asked if me and 6 others could book in that night, after we had walked the Yorkshire 3 peaks, Matteo couldn’t of being more accommodating telling us to take our time and he will stay open until we got there! When we got there we were met by Matteo who was so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us as well as serving other tables, fetching our drinks and cooking our food! The food was absolutely delicious and if we are ever back in the area we will definitely be back! Thank you Matteo & good luck with your walk! ☺️

We arrived as a walk-in at this little gem in the middle of Settle. We were greeted by Matteo and his one staff member who between them worked magic to feed and water a packed restaurant with aplomb. The setting was a small cellar, where you walk through the kitchen to the dining space. The food was authentic rustic Italian, inspired by Matteo’s parents and grandparents and was outstanding. We are only visitors to the area but we will be back. Could not recommend too highly.

We had a fantastic meal, there was one man running the whole show, the place was packed from the beginning, we were late for our booking, and were still welcomed and accommodated by the host. We had a wait on food and drinks, but this was to be expected seeing as the host was doing every job in the restaurant, however, the food didn't disappoint! It was beautiful and we all enjoyed our meals. The only bad thing is we don't live closer, as we would like to go every weekend ? excellent little hidden gem. Thank you

Arrived in a group of 7 without pre-booking but Matteo quickly moved tables around to accommodate us. I'm so glad we choose this place because the food was amazing. Pizza, pasta and chicken dishes were extraordinary and Matteo was a great host. We will be back.
