Went for a meal. Absolutely superb food, especially the beef short rib (special), lamb, and fish & chips. Friendly cozy lounge bar too. Very much hope it's still under the same team next time we come.

We went for Sunday lunch, all the roasts we tried (pork, gammon & lamb) were some of the best we've had for a long, long time; the Toblerone cheesecake was also not to be missed.Friendly service from friendly staff, and a great ambience to the place. Definitely recommended.

Stayed here with a friend last night. Told the kitchen closed at 8 unfortunately our walk lasted a bit longer than expected so didn’t arrive till about 8.20 the lady that checked us in said they might be able rustle up something up but she would check for us. Was music to our ears when they managed pizza and fish and chips was definitely needed after a very long day walking and didn’t fancy driving out for food. Staff was really friendly and helpful, the pub had a lovely atmosphere and the room was well stocked with all the little touches you don’t see in other places. Breakfast was really nice set us up for the drive home again staff really nice and welcoming especially Marley the dog. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anybody

Popped in for a post cycle couple of pints. Superb local ale selection, well kept cellar. We had snacks, crisps from Bradford. The beer garden is adjacent to Giggleswick church, you can hear the chime of the clock. There is a little traffic noise but in general very peaceful. The staff very friendly. There are bike parking spots at back. Great place to quench a thirst.Food & drinks: Great selection of draft beers and Seabrooks crisps

My daughter and I stayed at the Black horse Inn overnight 27th August as we were attending an evening reception at a nearby venue. We were shown to our room, which was lovely and bright. After putting our bags in the room we went down to the bar for a Sunday roast, this did not disappoint, we had the most amazing food ever, we had the best pavlova we had ever tasted, the service was impeccable nothing was to much trouble. We asked about availability for us to get a taxi to the venue, but was told there were none, the owner of the bar very kindly offered to pick us up from the venue and take us back the next day for our car. In the morning we went downstairs for our breakfast, there were a variety of cereals as well as a full English breakfast we chose the latter which we had pre ordered the night before it was delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

Friday night is very busy and noisy. The waitress was very polite and apologised for the wait of our meal. The fish and chips was lovely and fresh and hot. Would recommend them.

Booked a table on the hop for our tea as the gamecock was fully booked, what a great choice, the food was amazing, reasonably priced, the Timothy Taylor was brilliant, I could have stayed there all night drinking it along with the locals, great atmosphere and the landlord (didn't get his name) along with his staff were all fantastic, they made us so welcome, a special mention for marley the spaniel meet and greeter, he and our cockapoo also called marley had a difference of opinon but eventually got on, I would 100% recommend this pub over any in the area, so glad the gamecock was fully booked as we would have never discovered this gem of a pub.Food & drinks: Food was absolutely fantastic and very reasonably priced.

Hidden away pub which exceeded expectations. Excellent and attentive service and very good food. Interesting menu for pub food. Managed to get a balance between accommodating tourists dining requirements and locals. Highly recommended .
