I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Here is the whole story! We were asked to move just after placing an order. And to add insult to injury, we were then asked to move yet again to another table within just two minutes. the table we were moved to lacked proper heating facilities, leaving us uncomfortable and dissatisfied. This constant disruption and lack of consideration for our dining experience were unacceptable.Furthermore, it is unacceptable to be treated with such disrespect and then asked to pay for a service we did not receive. We have the right to leave if we are not satisfied with your service and attitude. It's concerning that you dare to ask us to pay when you're not being transparent about the situation.Needless to say, we left without even having a change to enjoy anything from your menu! No water no drinks no food! This type of behavior is not only unprofessional but also disrespectful to your customers. We will not be returning to your establishment and will be sure to share our negative experience with others.Despite claiming to be dog-friendly, they have strict rules about dog behavior that are not accommodating to the nature of dogs. Our dogs can be chatty in new environments, but they settle down eventually. However, we were asked to move out as soon as they were just getting comfortable. The table we were seated at was sticky.Additionally, the outdoor seating area had only one heater working, which made it uncomfortable for us to stay outside for long periods, especially on colder days. It's clear that this restaurant prioritizes large groups of customers over smaller parties like ours.Overall, I did not feel welcomed or valued as a customer, and I will not be returning.

Not as good as usual, i have been to calico jacks for many many years since when it was previously Sam Houstons always been excellent food but sunday tea time we were very disappointed with everything the table was sticky, my son found cigarette tips and rubbish under his seat, hes 2 and thought they were sweets . The food took an hour to come even though was only a few tables in, it was cold and not very good, fajitas tasted like old el paso mix not the usual delicious bbq taste and very bitter peppers, the chefs were in and out to the toilet the whole time which didnt look great and also in and out with black bin bags full of rubbish instead of preparing food or whilst which is also not good to see, it just felt very much like they wanted rid of us, £100 later and just left feeling deflated, the young man who works there was lovely and friendly as usual but he was the only good point of the evening.

Excellent food and service when we visited with two grandchildren.Only issue was that we were seated under a speaker and I wanted to turn the volume down.

We went 21st Jan 2024 for my sons 9th birthday. There were 6 adults and 3 kids. It was amazing. All food fresh, out together and over all a lovely experience. We will definitely be back.Thank youKid-friendliness: Brilliant in the ba k of kids menu there was snakes and ladders for them to play.

My daughter and I thought we would try Calico Jack’s takeaway service for a change and both ordered Chimichanga. It was absolutely delicious with generous portions of spiced chicken, pepper, and onions in a tortilla with cheese, accompanied by guacamole, sour cream and fries. You do need a hearty appetite to cope with this meal but I can recommend it unreservedly. Very reasonable prices compare favourably with other takeaways and we will certainly be trying other dishes from the menu on future occasions when cooking seems like a chore.

Been in a few times for special occasions and it's always been fab! Fun and whimsical restaurant, perfect if you love pirates and nautical things. Great place to take kids, my nephews love it

We called in with no reservation. We were greeted warmly and shown to a large booth. I ate a burger and my partner chose a pizza. Both were enjoyed and we cleaned our plates. The pirate theme looks great. Parking is available across the road in a large carpark that's free after 6.

Great food. Wonderful atmosphere. I enjoyed happy hour with my colleagues. The décor is fabulous. In summer there are table's and chair's outside. Great location.

We booked here as it had space for a table of 10 for a family get together. The food was brilliant and as a group we got something of everything and it all came out quickly and together.I wasn't sure what to expect from seeing the restaurant online but the theming was actually really good and wasn't too much, it's fun but not childish and created a great atmosphere. The servers were attentive of not a little short staffed even though it was quiet. It seemed they had to cover all jobs from the bar, to serving and collecting the food.Even so, it wasn't noticeable.Only slight let down was the lack of beers available, most options were out of stock. There are steps up to the front door and we had a pushchair which wasn't much of a problem but might be if you had a wheelchair unless there is another hidden entrance that we didn't see.
