Food was fine when it eventually came. We waited an hour for it, and when it did come we were told that they’d run out of teacakes, leaving one of our party with nothing. We were told repeatedly “as you can see we’re really busy” - sorry but if this is the case and there’s an hour wait for food, you need to tell people this at the door. Upsetting experience as this was a special day out for us.

I've been talking about going here for the past 4 years since I moved here with my mum and nan and we finally decided to go last week for Mother's Day. The food was incredible, the service was quick and the atmosphere was lovely, everything was so clean and had a homely vibe to it. Definitely one of my favourite places to eat.

Visited Skipton many times, but its always been full. Now i understand why. Lovely food at a reasonable price, and great gluten free selection for my wife. Lucky we got a table, queing outside when we left. Think that says it all.

A local couple recommended this place to us as we were eyeing up the array of menu boards outside. I honestly don't think there was anything they *didn't* offer!! Inside it's a really homey, almost country pub feel, the staff were lovely and pleasant, very busy so its definitely a popular place. Upstairs, it kinda felt like you were walking into a tumble drier. It was so snug & warm inside, but as it was very cold outside, it had a dampness to it. Our food came really quickly, I ordered the chicken & scampi platter, with chips & peas. And a pot of tea. Portions were big, far more scampi than chicken strips. Mine was a dozen scampi with 2 chicken strips, would have preferred less scampi, and 1 or 2 more chicken. Tea was Yorkshire tea, and it came with extra boiled water, enough for 3 decent cups of tea. Overall, very good, great staff, lovely atmosphere and exceptional value.

Spotted this delightful place in a previous visit to Skipton but we'd already eaten. So was obviously our first choice to try this time around. Arrived not long after the cut off for breakfast orders but the server offered to make sure we got one if tyat was what we wanted. We both a large and standard breakfast. Great quality and good value for money. Other food items coming out looked just as scrumptious so will definitely be back for more. Will now be our go to place in Skipton. Also does takeaways and that was proving popular with the locals.. Always a good sign ?. Keep it up ladies and gents.Parking: 2 car parks close by with easy access.

Great little place which literally had people queueing out of the doors when we arrived. The short wait for a table was well worth it with both myself and wife haing the stew and dumplings which we both agreed was amazing and definitely needed on a cold day in January
