We liked the atmosphere in this pub, it's definitely improved since we went in a few years ago. Good service, log fire and not overpriced.

The staff were lovely and I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and layout of this high street pub. I understand that the pub garden is super in the summer! We had a really nice meal with pies (vegan and lamb) , a huge salad (the halloumi was a bit overcooked) and a vegan burger. Most dishes came with delicious chips. Would definitely visit again as the vegan dishes were very welcome.Vegetarian options: Vegan and veggie options availableKid-friendliness: Our grandchild was made to feel very welcome

What a hidden gem! From the outside you would not believe what the inside is like. Welcoming staff, lovely atmosphere and fabulous home cooked food and dog friendly! Can't wait to go again!

Excellent food. Proper pies (encased in short crust pastry, not just a puff pastry lid). Friendly staff and good beers.

We've arrived in Skipton by boat and called in for lunch today. We arrived to a warm welcome, great on a damp blustery day.Good, efficient service. I ordered the vegan pie, hoping for something tasty and substantial (you never know with a vegan pie as they range from the sublime to the frozen pinged). I was not disappointed! Great pastry, tasty filling, pleasing to the eye & the stomach! Win win.My partners fish and chips was great too.The dog was welcomed & happy not to be restricted to a tiled floor as in many pubs.

Excellent food. Very friendly and helpful staff who made us welcome with our very large dog. Good ale too.

6 small plates and a cheesy garlic flatbed, more than enough to feed 3 people, delicious and very

The exterior says old traditional pub but on entering it's a lot bigger and contemporary than expected which is not necessarily a bad thing. Good choice of local real ales.

Long wait for food, even though the table was booked. One e of the meals was a ridiculous portion ( pie).. must have had 3 small bits of meat in a silly pie pastry which was not great. Also placing tea towels in the back pocket and using them to shine cutlery is very unhygienic.. and poor practice. The place itself is nice and would pop in for a drink, but not for food again, sorry.

Met up with some friends. Very friendly place. The steak and ale pie was to die for and everyone else’s meal was excellent. Friendly and efficient staff and even the dog got a couple of doggy treats.

We called in early evening on a Monday, and were very warmly welcomed by the bar staff. When asked if they were serving food we were shown to a table and invited to view the menu. Our food arrived promptly and was well presented. It was also delicious. There was also a fair range of beers & lagers to choose from. Just how you would expect a successful pub to be run. Well Done
