We travelled from the Wirral arriving at 7.45pm in ery wet conditions, parked up Motorhome and became stuck on soft ground. After a very nice meal, we asked for help, the responce from the staff was excellent, after trying to push us off, they ended up enlisting the help of a farmer who towed us off, we could not have asked for more, as a popular night stop for MH's, we would highly reccomend this Inn, and yes, we would certainly stop again, keeping fingers crossed it will be drier next time.

Giant Yorkshire Pub with sausage and veg was just the job on a cold spring lunchtime. Pud was great but I've had better sausages at this price point. Couple of cask beers on the bar. Friendly staff. Would drop in again.

Booked a table with a few friends for lunch. Very welcoming staff who were happy to change our table to accommodate our dogs in the side room. Food was very good and clearly freshly prepared. Good choice on the main menu with a few “specials” on the day. The pub was quite busy for a wet Wednesday and it’s obviously a favourite destination for people in the know. Nice cosy ambience. Highly recommended.

A regular local haunt! The Good-Location. On site parking. This pub has stunning local walks routing right through the property that take in the Towton battlefield and stunning local views.-Staff. Always friendly and welcoming.-Food. Are you brave enough for the Yorkshire Pudding Challenge? A well chosen, accessible menu with something for everyone. The roast is very good. There are, objectively, better roasts available, but they're also at a higher price point. You would leave here happy (and full). The BadThis is a popular spot, so book in advance to avoid disappointment on Sundays.Greg's TipGo for bonfire night. They put on a special event!

Always a friendly welcome and good service. The food is ok, often let down by the vegetables that always look like they have been stacked high and left for an age!

A very busy pub with attentive staff.Great menu, great service. Wouldn't hesitate to return. We encountered a slight mishap with a serving tray. As the waitress served us our drinks her tray slipped, the poor waitress ended up with milk all over her trousers and shoes. She was very apologetic and professional.
