Amazing food, great service. The steaks were massive and absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend the Beef Wellington. Everything was spot on, we'll definitely return.

Food was okay, but being a long time visitor I think the new setup of their manger running the show and the menu been reduced in size and quality. It's just a matter of time before this pub changes hands and revamped. The changes made in the last year or so is typical of owners maximising profits for size and quality. Shame, I liked it.

Really disappointing experience. Not visited for some time and wont be returning any time soon. We had early bird special, steak only just acceptable in taste and tenderness. A few potato wedges masquerading as chips, poor barely cooked mushrooms, heavily battered onion rings ands just OK sauces. Service bordering on brusque throughout, although did check and we said OK as didn't want it becoming an issue. Accept subjective and lots of people seem to like but certainly not for us. Just pleased we didn't pay the non early bird price!

The food is delicious.i ordered the belly pork with the apple sauce, which was so nice,although the portion was big for a starter. My main course was Beef stroganoff which was soo tasty and also a really big portion,I struggled to eat it all but really enjoyed it. Will definitely visit again,maybe just the main course next time. Would definitely recommend.

We have been before and it was brilliant. However this is the last time I will be eating there again. The waitress was very rude and dismissive the whole time we were there. We ordered the T-bone to share and weren't given the opportunity to tell them how we prefer it to be cooked. The steak then came blue massively underdone to our liking. This is not to say it wasn't a top quality cut of meat because it assuredly was. However I was not willing to pay £95 for a steak that wasn't cooked to my liking. After a rather long wait for the waitress to come back and ask how our meals were I ended up having to get up and go to see the manager to tell him I was unhappy with the meal and also the service, to which he replied, "I've been down to check on you 2ce and you never mentioned it then, what's wrong with it now"? After which I told him he hadn't been to check on us, as we had only just received our meal and that the waitress has been abrupt and rude all evening and that she hadn't even asked how we would like our steak cooking before she disappeared off in a hurry. The waitress then joins the conversation from over his shoulder and said, "I did ask and you said medium rare", which I wouldn't have said as I prefer medium for that cut of steak and more to the point even if i did ask for medium rare the steak was blue! The managers response to this was to tell me to just pay for the drinks and not the steak. Rather than rectifying the steak and the service problem. After realizing I wasn't willing to finish my drink but more than happy to pay for it he told me it's fine and to just go. Safe to say it spoilt our evening. We drove an hour that night to enjoy a nice steak but went home hungry with a bitter taste in our mouths.

We've been coming to Rythre for many years and could not rate the steak any higher. On our last visit we were "greeted" by a waitress who looked as though we'd taken her by surprise by walking in. Told her we had a reservation and she just said "name?" Without a smile or any sort of courtesy. We sat in a room we'd never been in. The lights kept flickering and it was really distracting and off-putting. I mentioned it to two members of staff but they weren't interested and I heard a lot of people around us make similar comments. I've never had a bad experience before so this was quite a surprise. I will have to think carefully before booking next time as it's not a cheap night out, we really do expect better service for the cost.

The staff are so welcoming, the atmosphere is fab and the food is insane. We had the steak and burger, both did not disappoint. I would highly recommend a visit!

We visited when staying in the local area. Lovely drinks and all food was exceptional. We had starters, (soup and pate) 2 steaks, one dessert and 2 drinks and the bill was £142. The food was really, really good- Pricey but worth it!

We went here with friends who have been before we were not disappointed the staff were amazing and the manager Lucas advised me which sparkling wine it was a South African much better than the Italian thank you, the King Prawn tails were delicious, we shared a T bone me and my hubby the best steak ? ever full of flavour we do like a nice steak the side dishes plenty to choose from we couldn’t manage a dessert we took one home amazing thank you see you soon

I think you'd be hard pressed to find better tasting steak! Absolutely Delicious ? the steak on offer is of great quality and served with a good selection of vegetables and thick cut chips or potatoes. The fresh bread and bread is really moreish. A must visit for all steak fans!
