Great location. Good indoor and outdoor space. Home cooked food, locally sourced. Farm shop with frozen fairhurst meals.

Quite quiet at 10:30 on a Saturday morning. There was a friendly welcome for us (with 5 year old and dog), and the food was of the highest quality and cooked to order. Not the cheapest we have had in a week visiting locally, but I wasn't expecting that: good quality food does cost! (No,I'm not a farmer) Will be our first choice next time we visit.

Friendly service, excellent food. I had the farmer's lunch, plenty of quality cold meat, cheese, and pickles, with a delicious pork pie.

Great stop for our tea and teacake. Yorkshire tea, as expected, two delicious teacakes covered in melted butter, served hot. Great service, nice ambience. Just call in.Parking: Loads of parking. Past the Alpaca.

We ordered the Christmas Box from Fairhursts once again. Ordered confirmed, email with date of delivery all received promptly. Great excitement when our box was delivered yesterday, can't wait for Christmas Day to cook everything. So much food, plenty of sides of vegetables, cheese and biscuits and a Christmas cake. Beautifully packed and excellent value for money. Thank you!

Although the evening sky was covered in cloud, we had a most enjoyable astronomical evening. The speaker from The Lime Tree Observatory was excellent, very entertaining & knowledgeable & the pie & puds was great!

A perfect stopping place on the way to the Lake District! Good food & friendly

Coffee and cake, half a hot chocolate, stale cake and overly sweet flavoured sauces that decorate the plate under every cake.Wheelchair accessibility: Good for the cafe itself but the shop is not a accessible.

A slight disappointment compared to previous visits. Food was good but the service was lack lustre and we had to ask for extra plates / forks Etc for sharing. We enjoyed our sandwich.

Most expensive coffee and cake I have had in North Yorkshire!! £5.50 for a flat white coffee and £4.50 for a piece of lemon drizzle cake no bigger that 2 inches square. No visible prices. Way over priced and not worth it!! Many more better value places to go.

What on earth has happened to this cafe the current menu has ruined it I have been coming to the cafe every year for many years to order my ham egg and chips previously you hot nice thick ham and good chips new owners came in and you got thin ham and horrible chips as we were in the area again we thought that we would give it another try big mistake I looked at the very limited menu and I picked the best option that I could find my partner didn’t pick anything but decided to have a £5.80 teapot of tea and move on to another place. When we got there there were only two other people in the restaurant and for a big place it was very quiet it’s a shame whilst I was aware that the food isn’t as good as when the previous owner had it the place has really gone downhill we won’t be going back

Waited quite some time to be served our cake and drink. Was nice food, but over priced really. Disappointed in the farm shop, no cold meats or raw meats - more of a gift shop than a farm

This was a small farm shop cafe which was nice but very expensive for the food I had a chicken sandwich which was £9.50 it had a small salad accompaniment but nothing special As with most of the places we visited in the dales I think the prices reflect the tourists from the south who are used to paying such high prices I am Yorkshire so I think HOW MUCH

Previously very good but expensive. However now still expensive but not very good. Staff not very competent and disinterested. Food portions small and very overpriced. Cakes all looked like yesterday's leftovers and one wasn't even covered. The atmosphere wasn't welcoming. The business seems to be going downhill as is evident in the lack of customers.
