Just returned from having a lovely evening meal at this establishment. The host was friendly and attentive. All bar staff were very friendly. The food we had was of the highest order, proper home cooked food, very tasty and generously portioned. We struggled manfully on to fit a couple of puds in which were just as tasty as the mains. We would highly recommend this place if you’re passing, or staying local. It’s a lovely place.

We stopped on the way through. What a lucky find. We've just had the best pub dinner in ages. A pie with gorgeous short crust pastry, freshly made, proper chips. Lamb cobbler with suet dumplings chips and veggies. All home cooked no microwave nonsense. They had several local ales on??The couple keeping the pub have only been there a couple of months and I wish them all the best..... Just gutted 130 is too far for it to be our local ?

i don’t usually write reviews but this beautiful, cosy little pub deserves every bit of credit. I believe it’s under new management (their first week!) when we visited for an evening meal and wow, we will definitely be returning. We ordered starters, mains and a dessert and we both said (if socially acceptable!) we would have genuinely licked the plates clean.
