My favourite shop in Whitby well worth a visit. Much more than a standard bakery top quality great service huge range and large portions. Cakes divine and a filled Stotty is a meal in itself. You won't be disappointed!

Try the iced buns but ask them how you should eat

Be very careful as the staff think egg quiches are vegan. When I explained it was an allergy they suggested a cheese and onion

Glad we enquired about seating, we could see the stairs but had a pram - in face the cafe goes way back on the ground floor beyond the shop. Delightful cozy, warm and helpful spot. Really pleased we didn’t go into C@@ta and managed to get delicious snacks for the kids which aren’t too many calories! Lovely local business

This Company is outstanding with it's food deliveries. I have ordered Fruit Cakes for the second time, for Birthdays and now a special one for Christmas. The fruit cake was excellent before, so I knew it would make a fabulous gift for Christmas. I recommend this Company if you are ever wanting to send for some beautiful cakes of any kind.

Elizabeth Botham's Whitby is a bakery selling cakes, savouries, biscuits, jams, tea towels, bags and teas, coffees and hot chocolate. Good quality medium range pricing also has a cafe above that serves meals including cream teas and fortunes kippers. (it reminds me of fortmun and Mason's somehow)

A secret afternoon tea for my wife's birthday. The staff went the extra mile by putting nice birthday decorations and a handmade card on the table. The tea itself was lovely. The arrangements were made over the phone and everything went so well.Lovely friendly Yorkshire folk

The greatest sandwich I have ever had. The BLT with bacon warmed. So sad I don’t live here. But also glad as I would buy many of these in the week. Oh and their biscuits. Also my favourite.

The food was delicious, you cannot better the tea room and lovely atmosphere and to add to this are the friendly staff, which makes such a difference. It’s so worth the walk up to Skinner street to visit this fabulous traditional tea room. Thank you.

I have no complaints about the sponge cake and hot chocolate I ordered, but oh God...the Americanization of this country is appalling. Patrons were greeted as "you guys", asked multiple times if everything was OK, and the credit card machine now asks for a tip. The Skinner Street tea room itself is pleasant enough but I have no desire to visit again.
