Quirky, unique and an excellent place to stay with beautiful rooms and comfortable beds. The bathroom fittings and bath are well maintained, clean and the shower pressure is amazing! The rooms could possibly be serviced daily for the price, however this would not stop us from coming back

Absolutely amazing breakfast in stunning grounds with fantastic service. Choice was great, I had eggs Florentine and my partner had a breakfast and honestly the price was about £13 each. Well worth it!

Great find very dog friendly and welcoming staff, had full Swamp breakfast which was served with quality produce and cooked to perfection, and my wife had smashed Avocado on toast with Poached eggs with was also well presented and cooked. I rate myself as a bit of a coffee snob and must add the black Americano coffee was excellent.
Will use this cafe on our next visit to Whitby and would highly recommend to anyone visiting.

This has to be the best Value for Money Café on Yorkshire's East Coast. The food is freshly cooked, tasty and plentiful (to say the least!). We used it for breakfast although mid/late morning meals are also available.\nIt offers seating or take-away and it is popular with locals and tourists alike, which speaks volumes. Indeed, this popularity is its one drawback so get there early or be prepared to queue.

Really great experience in here on the way back to the campsite.
Good range of drinks to choose from, sadly nothing hot as my wife would have liked but great none the less.
Entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays, sadly we missed this but will come back when it's on.
Lovely atmosphere about the place with really good facilities.
Abbey views are superb.
Highly recommend and we will call again.

Excellent Italian restaurant in Whitby. Very popular so book first. We went early (5.30pm) midweek, and it was busy. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The red wine (Nero) was very good for the cost. The food was delivered in good time, hot, and full of flavour. Good size portions. Staff were attentive but not pushy and we didn't feel rushed at all. We were seated upstairs, which could be an issue for anyone with mobility problems so ask for seating on the ground floor. Nice decor and a good atmosphere. Recommended.

The quality of the food was outstanding , the portion sizes were really good and the staff were friendly.
Would definitely recommend. Only a very small outside area which was a shame as it was a lovely evening. Not much real atmosphere but there was some quiet music playing which was good.

Delicious full English breakfast!
We called in for drinks one morning and after spying the food being served, treated ourselves to breakfast here the next day.
The bacon and sausage in the cooked breakfast was some of the best I’ve had in a cafe! Definitely from a butcher and not just supermarket standard.
Husband (coffee bore) said it was the best coffee he’d had in Whitby!

What can I say, truly a pub from yesteryear. It may be small, but it has masses of character. Loved the tiny bars with no phone or wifi connection, makes you actually speak to the other people. I loved the local Beckwatter brew, highly recommended. Oh and it's cash only, no cards!

A must visit cafe every time we walk from Whitby to Sandsend. The reward for getting there is a fresh crab sandwich which is delicious. The cafe is popular at peak times but if you wait a short time you will get a seat. The menu offers a good variety of choice along with vegetarian options & a selection of drinks. This cafe is highly recommended, please give it a try & support local businesses.

Our annual trip to Whitby and therefore our annual visit to Ditto. As usual the service was first class, the exact amount of attention. The food was superb, we have to single out the duck confit starter, out of this world! We were offered and accepted a complimentary passionfruit sorbet that really cleansed the palate. We had the chicken and the belly pork mains. No room for a dessert! They were more than happy to accommodate our dietary need Gluten free and an aversion to nuts, amongst our party. We have never had anything but a superb meal in 30 years of eating here. We will be back next year.

Fantastic coffee and range of on site baked bread and cakes. Too late on for us to try items from their menu of other items.

I brought away some beautiful fruit flapjacks. While there had a very well made barista Flat White. Going to return.

Called in this afternoon, 13th January. I have severe allergies to dairy and egg, I called to checked ingredients in the batter the day before and everything was fine. The batter is delicious, just as it should be for proper fish and chips. We all had Fish and chips and they were fantastic, and proper mushy peas, all was great value and the young man in the resteraunt were first class. I do prefer my haddock with skin off so today I hit jackpot as there was no skin, yippee. Loved the crinkle chips too We will definitely return

I could not recommend a better place in Whitby to have absolutely immaculate cocktails with an amazing atmosphere. The recommended cocktails were some I would never have thought of having and have become my new favourites! I would highly recommend coming here as the atmosphere and staff are AMAZING. A special shout out to the new manager Drew who made the night extra special by serving us AND making our drinks. Thank you for having us, we’ll be back!

Having vacated our holiday cottage we wanted to drive just outside Whitby to get a cooked breakfast before we set off for home. We could not have chosen a better place to go to. It's a little bit off the beaten track but we were served a lovely cooked breakfast.
