A great outdoor hideaway place, for walkers, visitors to area. Wonderful/safe view of Falling Foss. We called on our way home from Whitby. Didn't get chance to do a walk but will next time! Space for little ones to have a run around, few play items. Delicious snacks, cakes etc. and great coffee. Delighted that a chaffinch came near to our table looking for crumbs to eat?!

Excellent scone and coffee. A delightful walk along the river to get there from the Forestry commission car park.Kid-friendliness: Simple play equipment but the woodland around and river banks are wonderful play areas.

A beautiful area which we visited purely by chance. Lovely surroundings and a wooden building serving cakes, snack meals and drinks. The staff were very efficient and friendly, and the scones, jam and cream were the best I’ve tasted in years. Would def recommend this lovely little place
Firstly, a cracking and very welcome coffee and piece of cake after some steep inclines on our walk through sneaton forest. A lovely scenic spot to rest your legs, with the sounds of the Falling Foss waterfall in the background and we even had some birds for company. Well worth a visit. Plenty of seating and plenty of options for food and drink too.

Absolutely first class food and service, definitely worth a few more visits. After a fabulous walk to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary the experience here was wonderful.

Absolutely wonderful place to visit. Several walks around the cafe taking you in all directions. Beautiful scenery well worth going for. The small cafe was well run, hot drinks were excellent but by far the best thing was the brownio cake. Never seen it before and was incredible. Well done forestry England. Well done.

A lovely little tea garden with a children’s play area for young children. The waterfall is beautiful and the walk around is a lovely adventure. Avoid the steep descent down to the waterfall as there is a safer, easier route!! Look for the sign posts and you can’t go wrong. Theres also a map in the tea garden.
